Whether it be to do a few sets of reps of what ever routine, or it is doing some laps, turning up for yoga, or the gym at all for that matter, I think this thread would be helpful to those wanting to improve their health (if there is not already a thread on this exact matter).

Ideally set yourself a goal (the time length is irrelevant, but a daily goal might suffice), then report back once you follow through (or conversely, do not follow through and need to adjust your goal).

I'll start:

Tomorrow I will be going to the gym, running 5km in 30 mins, swimming 20 laps (500m), and hitting the steam-room for a minimum of 10 mins. I will report back here when I have completed or not completed the goal by 10pm (gym closing time) AEDT.

I'm doing usual cardio then crunches and weights then on top of that I'm doing the butt challenge I'm on day 15. I'm planning to finish by mid december (its a 30 day challenge)

I'd like to get into volleyball again but with the holudays coming up I don't think its posible atm but after this yr ill be doin more you'll see! :)

i would like to do an hour of yoga every morning, i found a website where you can subscribe to yoga classes, i just need to work out how to convince my parents to let me have an internet connection in my room

because my work is physically intense (some yoga types are not so straining) this gives me no excuse for not exercising in the morning

making goals and following through is such a big deal imo, thx for the thread soul mate

Nice goal! I do love yoga and I find it beneficial in many ways.

No probs, I thought it might be a useful thread to start.

As I said, I will report back when either I do or do not achieve the set goal in my above post. I have 10 more hours to get through it :)

I did 20 laps = 500m
I walked approximately 6km
I did 10 mins steam room
I did not run because I was with my gf who didn't feel like running.

I need to work on running. I plan to do this tomorrow:
30 mins 5km run
20 laps in pool
15 mins steam room

^ good work! you reminded me that i need to hit the pool more often, going for a swim and then doing spa/steam room is bliss on par with opiates imo

today i did a 30 min run then cold shower

am going to buy an ethernet wall adaptor in 2 days so i can have internet in my room to start the ball rolling on my goal

Great! I took my partner to the gym with me and she is an ex-professional swimmer from Sweden - she kicked my ass doing laps in the pool (right on about the high smiliar to opiates, that's due to endorphins I'm pretty sure!)!! ;)

Having the internet in your room is bliss, I have it out on the balcony (as well as my room), I'm drinking a mocha out there now, it being 7am. Today is gym time, see my last above post for my goal for today!! :D

I need to get into more exercise but I need to scale up slowly as I've been sick for a while. My most recent health-related achievement has been buying a juicer and pledging to make/drink green juice every day. (I've had juice on at least 80% of days since I got it like 6 weeks ago)

Will postpone my goal for a few days, as I have massive blisters on my right foot from wearing shoes with no socks...also it's my birthday tomorrow (Sat), so raincheck until at least Sunday on my goal for running, swimming steamroom combo workout.

soo my parents internet router works in my room so i was able to accomplish day 1 of my goal

i am going to do 30 mins kundalini yoga morning and night, or the whole hour at once if its more convenient, id like to maintain that for the next 60 days, i think i have to add weed free as well, its been too long since ive had thc out of my system

id like to continue doing 20 mins vipassana meditation morning&night, and add 5 minutes every fortnight

im going to save up for 625$ studio monitors (speakers) and a big tv so ill eventually have an ultimate home yoga setup =D, i cant believe it costs 18$ a month for this site, i used to blow sooo much cash i shouldnt spend on absurdly expensive yoga classes

hopefully i can start walking on clouds in a couple weeks

Start practicing Qi Gong again.

i want to add this to the list as well but it will have to wait a while

id like to contribute something that has helped motivate me with my daily health goals

its an app you can download for free for your iphone/android device, which keeps track of what you choose to be your daily goals be it daily run, meditation, yoga, dog walks, swimming etc

cant recommend it enough!

^nice!!!

Aside of eating super healthy in the mornings, I am also cutting back on the junk food eating =D I don't eat 'em everyday but chocolates are my weakness so I had been eating like a square of chocolate a week then when I am craving for it, I will just eat fruits like grapes or an avocado so I feel much healthier. That and I have doubled my workout routine: Beach body challenge for 30 days (I am on day 2) and then the butt challenge (day 18) plus the cardio workouts

I would like to get my five mile run time under 35mins. It is floating at like 36-37mins currently. I hit a big goal in November 100 pull ups in two sets granted I would like to hit it all in one set but to be able to bang out 100 pull ups @ 230lbs is pretty bad ass.

Last night we smashed out a 5km run, 500m swim, and 15 min steam room. I felt heavenly afterwards. Today I will set myself the same goal.

^awesome!

My body hurts so much!! I am taking a day off today because I need to rest and I am going to a Christmas party tonight :)

Tomorrow, I am planning to double the qty of my crunches (would mostly do around 300) so I think I am ready for 500.
