So I wanted to try DXM but haven't been able to since I'm on Fluoxetine and the risk of serotonin syndrome.
On an online pharmacy, I found an anti-histamine and in the description it says "Periactin belongs to a group of medicines called ‘antihistamines'. In some illnesses too much ‘histamine' and ‘serotonin' are produced in the body. These occur naturally in your body. Periactin helps in these illnesses by stopping the unwanted effects of histamine and serotonin."
Does that mean I could take this and then take the DXM and not worry about getting serotonin syndrome because of the fluoxetine?
