I'm posting this in ecstasy discussion because some of you must have suffered serotonin syndrome. About 10 days ago I overdid 3-meo-pcp and got a moderate case of serotonin syndrome I think. It felt absolutely horrible and I felt like I was about to die, I got anxious, felt a wave like sensation in my head coupled with painful muscle contractions/tingling sensation that hurt like there was no tomorrow. I also got a quite high fever (39.0c).

Since then I've been incredibly dizzy, had a loud ringing in my ears, paraesthesias and muscle cramps/tachycardia. Also my eyes wobble around like I had taken a large dose of MDMA still and I keep going from extremely cold to extremely warm. This sounds like the infamous serotonin syndrome does it not? Unfortunately it's 3-meo-pcp this time and not MDMA so the symptoms last foooorever. (drug effects are still not completely gone so it's not so strange the symptoms aren't either). I also feel this lingering dark depression since then.

Anyway, everytime I smoke weed now it makes the symptoms immensely worse. I will feel like I am about to have an epileptic seizure and just drop dead on the spot. This is really horrible, how long will it take untill I can smoke weed again and how long does it usually take for symptoms of serotonin syndrome to resolve? It should resolve as soon as the drug is completely out of my system, right? Do I have to stay away from weed for some time now or? I sincerely hope not...

Any other drugs I need to avoid? Anything serotonergic is obvious of course but is there something else?

Do I have to see a doctor for this? I mean, it shouldn't be dangerous as long as the fever and blood pressure don't get out of hand, right?

The way Serotonin Syndrome is loosely tossed around makes me wish it didn't even exist. If you had SS you would end up in hospital with a reasonable chance of death. It's more than just a bad trip. But it's also extremely rare and only occurs when drugs synergize extremely well to cause a literally collossal amount of serotonin in the brain. Far higher than anything recreational.

You don't have serotonin syndrome. What you do have sounds like poisoning. Tininitus and dizziness are very frequently related to substance toxicity. I'm not sure of the pharmacology of 3-meo-pcp so I can't really comment on whether those symptoms are typical of a 3-meo-pcp trip, but I'd advise laying of the drugs for a while to let your body repair itself.

Yea it seems like some kind of poisoning rather, woke up today with horrible itching everywhere and vomited a huge amount of blood. Terrible stomach cramps, I have to visit the doctor on monday :/

Perhaps my new batch was contaminated? I didn't feel much effects really just got these terrible side effects.

It can't be the substance itself though, the dose was lower than my usual dosages and the only difference I can think of is I combined it with fentanyl, which I usually don't. i still think it's strange that smoking weed or taking fentanyl now causes me convulsions and makes me feel like I am about to have a seizure.

How much fentanyl did you take? It could have been the combination, the itching sounds like it would be causes by the opiates as I looked up the pharmacology of 3-meo-pcp and it doesn't seem to provoke histamine release.

However, if you're vomiting blood I'd recommend you go to ER/A&E immediately.

Yes, please go to a hospital immediately, don't wait until Monday. Abdominal cramping with vomiting blood is a sign that you may have stomach bleeding which is a serious and potentially fatal condition.

elctrolyte imbalance + acidosis as a result of severe physical stress/hyperthermia from bad drug combination/poor physical health resulting in convulsions and rapid muscle breakdown releasing toxins into bloodstream

oh yea unrelated ulcer too

case closed

edit: continous administration of IV fluids has cleared up most symptoms by now.
