Serotonin and the beauty of light

I have noticed that drugs which increase serotonin, including 5-HTP, enhance the way light looks. If I'm feeling down, after some 5-HTP, looking at lights (especially if they have fake diamonds around them) helps me feel a little better. They look so beautiful and mystical. Then again these drugs make most things 'look' better.

The feeling is very similar to the onset of a psychedelic, certain lights seem like the centre of an ordered area or it may look like a space-age beacon. The light looks so pure, you can see exactly what happens in a lightbulb, then the slight burn-in causes some of the colour and vibrance to carry over to other things you look at. The lights are almost like the eyes of a holy being.

comments (opinions, agree/disagree, reminisce) are highly appreciated.

That is so cool you said that OP because I take 5-htp 3-4 times a week and I noticed that too. Light seems to be enhanced(esp. sunlight) in some strange way. I thought I was weird :)I can't describe it though.
