Hi everyone .

I am a brand newey to this link and the world of some sort of depression. I started taking Seroquel last night for the very first time whilst waiting to be diagnosed with witch condition i am suffering. When i went to bed last night and closed my eyes i could see colours flashing behind my eye lids but fell asleep very quickly when i awoke this morning i found that some how my bedside table was upside down on the floor my only guess that i uprooted it durning the night something which wouldnt have been easy for me to do but have no memory of doing i also slept till 11 am and still feel rather tired which i understand is common but has anyone every experience trashing there room in their sleep . rather concerned ??:?

A lot of people have woken up the following day with 'mysterious things' happening in the night (usually after taking sleep meds /benzos etc). If you read the side effects etc of Seroquel a lot of people mention doing weird stuff when they are asleep - it seems like a common side effect.

Maybe something you should mention to your doctor?

If your suffering from depression then maybe check out some of the threads over in 'The Dark Side' or if your having a problem with something specific then check out one of the relevant sections.

Good luck and welcome to the site :)

I've taken Seroquel for almost a year now and I've never really had those types of issues.
I started on 300mg and am now on the lower dosage of 100mg.
If you fight the fatigue it gives you it has a low euphoric feeling to it.
I also had horrible insomnia and ever since I started taking this I haven't had a problem.
Though I can REALLY feel the effects of not taking it for a day. It's absolutely a terrible
feeling.

Seroquel might as well be an RC for as much as we know about it. In the psych center i was put on 100mgs and the first night it knocked me out cold then everytime after that it made my heart race and kept me up with paranoid delusions. It also spiked my blood sugar to really high levels and gave me chest pains. If you are a sleepwalker it's probably best to avoid.

I take seroquel 25-50mg for sleep, I do wake up during the night sometime and feel like a zombie because it is a powerful sedative but I never trashed my room or anything like that. I think it is more common with benzodiazepines but its not an impossible side effect and I guess it normal not behing able to recall what happen.
