Misc Seroquel Overdose: How Bad?

When I was 13 I decided to insufflate 3.5g of Seroquel in between amphetamine addictions. (A friend had some, I have never at any point been prescribed anything for any reason) As anyone normal can guess, I overdosed, however the way we handled it was just to chill out and have fun with it until it wore off. I didn't go to a hospital, or even tell a doctor or even get a checkup afterwards. In fact I completely ignored it throughout the rest of my life. I experienced permanent mental effects, but I'm wondering how badly I fucked up that one. It's been a long time since I was that stupid, and it's aftereffects are still present. Has anyone else taken a similar dosage, or know anything about Seroquel besides why they prescribe it? I've heard sedative at low doses consistently from people who got it at a hospital to put them to sleep, and cocaine x5 from all the druggies I knew who did it for fun, but the most I'd heard of anyone else doing was 2 pills over the course of a few days recreationally. I don't even know what to classify Seroquel under, so if this is in the wrong section, I apologize.

Something doesn't sound right, your method to avoid an overdose "was just to chill out and have fun"? Doesn't sound like you overdosed then, otherwise just chilling out wouldn't be an option. You do understand what overdose means right?

Am I missing something here?

I have tried 300mg of seroquel taken orally. Once. It knocked my dick in the dirt and I slept for almost 18 hours. I really hope he meant 3.5mg and not 3.5g(3500mg). I would say 3500mg is enough to cause some permanent damage.

thats why i said /thread lol

i should have said /brain proper function and possibly life

i dont know man. i once knew a kid(he got me locked up) who took 800mg every night. if your cure was "chilling out" then i doubt you OD'd. maybe its the other drugs that are making you stupid. not trying to be mean im pretty dumb also

ugh.. that stuff is so strong! I couldn't imagine taking 800mg. I wouldn't wake up for days! When I would finally wake I would surely be a zombie for the next 50 hours or so. ugh.. no thanks

damn i wanna try this shit. i didn't know it was that potent of a sleep aid, is that was it is RX'd for?

The 2 main issues it is RX'd for are bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia. It is a very, very potent tranquilizer. Honestly I couldn't tell you how the trip is because I was totally unable to keep myself awake. It felt nearly as powerful as trying to fight hospital anesthesia. The next day I felt really groggy; almost zombie-like. I am sure someone has had a positive experience from seroquel but it was far too powerful for me.

I have a family member who ate 6 grams(20 300mg tabs) and only spent 1 night in the hospital. Their daily dose is either 600 or 900mgs so they have a bit of a tolerance but still...I was pretty surprised that they didnt die or at least sleep for a month. 300mgs puts me down and out.

Seroquel has anticholinergic effects, which can possibly cause long-term or permanent damage if taken at a toxic dosage (though I'm unsure of what that is). Think about Datura trips, or belladonna trips: those drugs are extremely potent anticholinergics and most people who survive ingestion of these plants should consider themselves lucky. There are several cases of brain damage and deep comas due to anticholinergic poisoning.
Other anticholinergic drugs include Benadryl, Spiriva, scopolamine, and several first-generation antihistamines. If you've ever taken a high dose of Benadryl, then you mprobably know exactly what I'm talking about. Although I myself have never tripped off anticholinergics, I have heard a pretty common consensus: it makes you retarded.

one time when i was sick i took 3 300mg pills to try to kill the time til my roomate got back with some shit. I didnt realy feel it when i was sitting still, but when i tried to walk i was all over the place

I kept collapsing and it felt like my heart was stopping for seconds at a time. I was actually the only one enjoying myself, everyone else was wondering whether to send me to a hospital or not including the people who gave it to me. It wasn't like nothing happened, it was absolutely an OD. (Seriously, how do you rail an hq of antipsychotics before you're in highschool and NOT OD?)

Nope, 3.5 GRAMS. I spent a full 8 hours beside a mound of the shit listening to Aphex Twin and having heavy muscle spasms.

BTW, the next day I was pushing shotglasses of blood at a time out of my face (mucous membranes and every tube the shit had gone through) and still attempted to go to school because I thought it wasn't a problem at the time. That might've been a good thing to mention.

I took 1600-2000mg of Benedryl a day for about a week after I did the Seroquel... I think you've just explained most of my HPPD right there.

I don't know, I was collapsing on average every 10 seconds or so and couldn't stop clicking (like Hunter S. Thompson right after any time he rails in Fear and Loathing, only non-stop for like 3 hours) plus I kept having massive muscle spasms (I would be talking only to suddenly double over backwards for no reason, or accidentally smashing my face as hard as I could against my bed etc) but I have no idea. The next day I started pushing shotglasses of blood out of my mouth and nose at a time and still proceeded to chill out and ignore it by doing like 5 or 6 more lines and going to school. I was bleeding heavily from about 5-6Am to about 12:00-1:00 in the afternoon, so I'm fairly sure it was at the very least near an overdose. I have no idea though, all I know is that I can still feel the aftereffects, but that can mean anything really.
