Down the rabbit hole
Seroquel, even at low doses DOES have antipsychotic effects. I have been misinformed/ lied to by quite a few doctors and pharmacists that it works as a strong 'anti histamine' and that's IT at low doses. COMPLETELY not true. I was on LSD over the weekend- tripping face, and my sister came home, hysterical- she was using my car, and did some serious damage to it. My car is my baby- lots of money and love go into it... and so I panicked and was very close to losing my mind and couldn't calm down. First time I ever aborted a trip.

25mg of seroquel and 20 minutes later.... trip aborted. Antihistamine MY ASS!

I don't really know where to write this.... just want everyone to be aware as antipsychotics aren't something people should be using to sleep as doctors seem to think them as benign....

That's because seroquel is antagonist for ALOT of receptors in the brain, most likely what doctors have been telling you is that it doesn't act as an antipsychotic at lower doses. Seroquel is an antipsychotic, period. Also, I don't think they did any studies on it's mechanism of action on people who are tripping. In sober people I'm sure that there'd be (almost) no antipsychotic action from seroquel at a low dose.

This is not surprising at all, and to me it even seems kind of obvious that it would greatly diminish/abort a trip at any active dose..

Quetiapine (Seroquel) is a strong tranquilizer, it doesnt cause antipsychotic effect in low dose but it will sedate you and block the effects of certain drugs.

Tranquilizer doesnt = antipsychotic, an antipsychotic will remove psychotic symptoms of mental disorder or drug induce psychose.

Tranquilizer will depress your CNS, a bit like GABAergic drugs though those are much stronger.

Benzodiazepine also remove from psychedelics and they are not antipsychotics.

What I mean is Quetiapine in low dose is a tranquilizer and in higher dose is an antipsychotic. Saying that it only have antihistaminic effect in low dose is wrong, though its his main effect in low dose.

I've taken psyches with xanax or phenazepam before and it chills everything out but you still trip you know? I don't know.... I'm talking 25mg of seroquel completely 100% stopped my trip, visually and mentally, but I still couldn't sleep and wasn't tired.

The difference between both is that GABAergics like Benzodiazepine depress every receptors of the CNS but lightly.

Seroquel have specific target and strongly antagonise Psychedelics receptors, including many 5HT, DA and NE receptors. Though I dont believe you are honest when you are saying 100% of the LSD effects was gone after 25mg. It might have completely stopped the visuals but mentally ? You say you couldnt sleep, its typical to psychedelics mental effect and Quetiapine would but you down to sleep very easily. And even if it was the only thing, im sure you was tripping in some way. You seem angry to waste a good trip but im sure its not as bad as you describe. Physically, didnt you felt a bodyload ?
