Hello everyone , I am cosidering to take some ketamine for depression , I am Curently taking seroquel 150 mg for over a year and notice that it does completley blocks stimulants effects either the CSN medication types and also recreational type like Coke , so my question is if seroquel can blockes ketamine effects as well or maybe NOT !? Thank you ,

I take seroquel and have for 2-3 years (insomnia, 50-100 mg a night). Also enjoy ketamine from time to time. I have never noticed any blocking effect from seroquel on K, or on stimulants (meth, coke, MDMA) for that matter. Everyone is different though. Have you done ketamine quite a bit before?

How do you not notice any blocking effect on meth when you take seroquel? Since meth acts on dopamine and seroquel pretty much shuts down D2 Receptors.. Sorry just surprised by that

Nothing backing this up, but I'd say it's possibly higher receptor affinity (i.e. "stickiness"). Have observed in a lot of people and never heard actual report of antipsychotics stopping meth working IRL.

Sorry, was a little unclear in my wording there. Seroquel definitely helps with meth comedowns after more than 24 hrs awake. It's a good sedative when meth has already run down so to speak. What I meant was that having a fairly stable amount of seroquel in my bloodstream has never diminished or blocked meth (or most other drugs) for me.

Thanks for posting this because ive been taking seroquel for over a year, from 600mg to 300mg and i am trying ket for the first time on thursday. Xxx Rachel xxx

I have never noticed the serequel blocking any effects from stimulants, crack in my case...ever. I'm not prescribed serequel but do take them from time to time as a sedative 'cause nodding off of H is a thing of the distant past for me. I usually get the 300mg and they seriously put me on my arse when i haven't had them for a while. The time in between me buying a strip can be weeks or months at a time though but i speedball rather than smoke it and when i am taking serequel my shots are just as good as ever.

Hi . No I never Done that before but there were some articals about that seroquel reduce NDMA antagonis though that's why I want it to figure out ,

I've not noticed this with doing meth on Seroquel previously either. But as somebody already said the Seroquel is good for sleep afterwards or even calming down the mind full of crazy ideas you've got from the meth.

I too came here to read about whether Seroquel interacts with the ketamine experience but from my previous experience it didn't.
