Seritonin Sydrome, SSRI's, and OCD

A while back I was diagnosed with OCD. I was given the SSRI Citalopram (Celexa) and it did help a lot.
I have been of the SSRI for about a year now so Im not worried about MDA/MDMA having no effect on me.
Im worried about Seritonin Syndrome.
OCD has been linked to people with low Seritonin, I dont really know how Seritonin Syndrome works, but is there a better chance that I would have it?
The first time I tried Nbome (first time tripping too) I took two hits and ended up havin some demon trip and in the hospit. The next day I was diagnosed to have it (seizures)
So, is there a better chance that I would have it if I tried MDA/MDMA
And what are the chances f getting it? Is it a common thing?
 
Serotonin syndrome is relatively rare. Not many people get it. But it is still a risk.

Hypothetically if you have low serotonin levels, then your chances of getting SS are lowered. Basically, SS happens when there is too much serotonin. It came happen from a combination of drugs that affect the serotonin levels (mdma, xtc, SSRIs, and ad and other psychotropic med)

So basically, avoid mixing any drugs that affect your serotonin levels. If youre taking an AD thats when you know to avoid such drugs. Youre chances of getting it, from what I know dont have to do with your past drug use (someone please correct if im wrong) but the drugs youre currently putting into your body. if you take too much mdma and youre taking an ssri, then youre at significant risk for it. I never heard of nbome so I cannot comment on that. But I dont think you should worry too much since it is pretty rare, but if you start noticing symptoms of it after taking anything (they tend to be severe) then of course take yourself to the ER. From reading this, I dont think youre at risk for it unless you actively take drugs that put you at risk for it.

I'm pretty certain that Serotonin Syndrome, caused by SSRI's & MDMA, is a myth. This is based on the same theory as to why MDMA doesn't work while regularly taking SSRI's. The SSRI binds to the same site that MDMA does, which stops MDMA from binding to 5-HT cells and releasing serotonin. Considering that SS is a result of an extreme amount of serotonin in the synapse (where its psychoactive), mixing MDMA and SSRI's reduce the amount of serotonin in the synapse, hence why the experience is diminished. This would also not result in SS.

If I was you, I wouldn't worry about.
