Every time I take oxycontin it takes a long time before I can pee again.

Yesterday I took this at the following times of the day:

8 in the evening: 140 mg (plugged oxycontin, crushed of course)
11 in the evening: 20 mg (sniffed oxycodon powder)
Midnight: 20 mg (oral oxycodon powder)
2 in the night: 20 mg (sniffed oxycodon powder)
4 in the night: 20 mg (sniffed oxycodon powder)

Now it has been 20 hours since my first dose of pluggin' and I still can't pee at all. I have tried showering etc.

Am I the only one with this problem? I am a young healthy male :\

Most opioids increase smooth muscle tension. They also contract urinary bladder sphincter and ureter. The problem with peeing is the outcome you can see.

That's why in some cases drugs like pethidine or pentazocine are preferred.

I have never heard of those drug :)

But I am pretty scared because it has been so long since my last bathroom visit.

Oxycodone is an opioid, i.e. it acts on opioid receptors (and they're not only found in the brain).

220mg of oxycodone taken in the course of 8 hours is quite a lot even though you plugged it and sniffed it. It'll fade out eventually.

Try squatting down so your legs will put some pressure on your bladder. This also helps for constipation.

Pethidine and pentazocine are also opioids but they are synthetics. Pethidine is known as meperidine in the United States but also commonly referred to as "Demerol". Some people have less urination issues with those opioids.
