Serious Cocaine Problem

After a night I went through 2gs myself, I couldn't get to bed and I was scared as fuck. I had my tv on the Tv Guide Channel because it displays the time in seconds and my resting heart beat (lying on the couch) was 136bpm. Every time I took a deep breath, moved at all, or tried to fall asleep it would skyrocket to 160bp! Like I seriously could only take tiny short breaths or my heart would go crazy. I felt like I was going to faint every time I would stand up to try and go to my bed. The worst part was that I had to take a major piss. A heart rate faster than 100 beats/minute is considered a tachycardia, which I just learned, and it has made me even luckier to even be alive.

I didn't die, I was scared as fuck all night, this went on for about 3.5 hours until I finally was able to get to sleep after popping 6 benadryl. I was soo close to calling 911 becauase I was afraid of having a fucking heart attack.

I was scared shitless. I could feel my entire body beating with my heart and my heart was going crazy. I remember just lying on the couch thinking, "please heart stop, please." Thank God I'm still alive.

Coke never did that to me before and I haven't tried it since out of fear (this was 4 weeks ago), I don't know what triggered this.

Coke has NEVER done anything like this to me before and I've done it a good 20-30 times. Can anyone think of anything that could have triggered this?

You should really put the coke down for at least a little while. Didn't you kinda realize you were getting too fucked up as you kept increasing your dosage or did you do it all at once or something? If your just doing lines once every 15 minutes or something its easy to tell your getting too fucked up if you are. If you do continue to use coke, although i really recommend you dont, use considerably smaller doses than you are now. 136 bpm is a lot, whats the average bpm? I forget.

I can think of a lot of things. The thing that comes to mind the most is it was probly cut with meth or another amphethamine. Or at the least ephedra. You could also have any number of medical issues. Who really knows, no one here is your doctor and hasn't checked you out so we can only speculate. But I bet it was a combination of things, dehydration, mixture or stimulants (both those which the coke were cut with and any caffiene you may have drank), and anxiety/fear all of which can effect your heart rate. But your title is misleading, because doing coke 20 - 30 times, or 2 grams in one night is not a coke problem. I use to do at least an 8 ball a day, for months straight, and that's hundreds of times. One time, I did so much coke that my chest hurt so bad I could move out of fetal position while clutching my chest. Anyway, I'd get yourself checked out by a cardiologist. And that's pretty much the best anyone on here can say.

I understand that 2g's is not a lot, that's what's so fucked up. I could easily do a ball in a day and have done it many times.

And about seeing a cardiologist, I'm only 16 bro. My parents were in the next room while all this was happening.

edit: I forgot to say thank you for your help btw.

Well, first of all if you're 16 and doing hard drugs like coke, get help FAST. It usualy starts of innocently enough at a young age. You use for any of a few reasons, but the most prevalent ones being "To get fucked up" or depression. If you're depressed, choose another aid, because drugs can and will rape your life. Take it from someone who knows first hand. And if you "just want to be fucked up", well get some substance to your life. A job, a significant other, etc. Even just being involved in sports or extracurricular activities can help a great deal. But, I'm gonna say if you still live with your parents even better, because YOU won't have to pay for the doctors visit. And it shouldn't be hard to come up with a story for your parents. Say something like, your hearts been acting weird lately and you want to be sure it's nothing serious, something along those lines. And I agree with lyserg, lay off the blow for a while.

yea it was just cut cocaine but either way, it doesnt sound like stimulants are for you bud.

i have the same problem, even very pure coke causes these types of problems but only for an hour after a line...the amount of time you said it went on DEFINATELY is the tell-tale sign of another stimulant added to your powder.

stay away from it period, cocaine isnt that great anyways.

besides your 16 man!
i cant really talk when i was 16 i was selling an 1/8th a kilo a week...using like 2 grams a day.

Yah like others said your coke was probably cut with speed. Yeah 130 bmp is a high heart rate normally but I've railed gaggers of meth before and had a resting heart rate in the 150-160 range for hours at a time. Also, the mind is a powerful thing, once you start freaking out about something its gonna raise your heart rate anyway. So if you are sittin there on the couch in a panic that you have fucked yourself up its not gonna help lower your heart rate any.

Just stop doing coke man especially since most U.S. street coke is cut to shit and has the worst comedowns imaginable. I really don't see how anyone enjoys it...

Something in the coke or some medicine you were on. Otherwise there's no reason why all of a sudden you should get such side-effects. With time you grow tolerant not only to the high (alas!) but also to the nasty side-effects like high blood pressure or tachychardia. So you should get less of the latter, not more, and certainly not a sudden surge out of nowhere.

I got scary tachychardia twice. Once I'd taken phentolamine mesilate (a pressure downer and Viagra alternative) while on coke. Another time I had been foolish enough to take ephedrine while on DXM.

What would be an safe antidote for tachychardia? Opiates isn't it?

hes 16

...and ive been there.

what you want is xanax. itll cure that crappy comedown shit right up. valium works, but it loses efficacy. any benzo works, but the shorter/stronger ones work better. xanax is the most readily available to kids on the street, which is why i suggest that in particular.

getting addicted to benzos really really really sucks ass, but youre 16 and doing blow, so chances are you arent gonna listen to me when i say that.

youre not alone

ditto what rocklobster said but ill add that you should be glad it was just coke and not meth(or at least straight meth) because then you couldve experienced the crushing panic and warping anxiety blasting inside your brain.

that shit warps your mind by making you overly aware, then delirious, then psychotic. you probably are healthy enough and still have a good heart since youre so young and werent actually about to die or anything, but you became so overly aware of your condition that, coupled with some feelings of remorse or guilt, you're mind created a delusion that you'd die, when in reality you'd have just exposed yourself as reckless fool and gotten a nice hospital bill.

No offense wesmdow but I don't think this kid needs to throw more drugs into the mix. It sounds like he had a cocaine and/or amphetamine induced panic attack.

To the original poster: Masking the problem with more drugs is bad advice and I think you should give the coke a rest especially at your age and because you were doing it by yourself in your parent's house. Most people that I know who have used stimulants eventually get more side effects than positive effects after a certain number of uses. You'll see that many people on this board have a "love/hate" relationship with cocaine.

hey man, I've had a couple nights like that. Theres nothing worse than geeking out like that and you're all alone, and you're scared shitless. Although you were at least able to fall asleep. what if your parents had come in for whatever reason........I always make up paranoid situations in my head like that when I'm fucked up.

panic attack=increased heartbeat. Doing coke alone=increased heartbeat. Bad coke=increased hearbeat. if you couldn't fall asleep within an hour of your last line, find another dealer......period!

this is the reason i hate coke.
i can do coke and have a great time with it and not want it anymore after that. but i know SO many people who got up to this level and it makes me feel so bad to read "now i know 2g's a day isnt a lot..." cause i saw people say that exact same thing when it obviously wasnt true.

if you're gonna do that much at once i would suggest purrifying it.
or better yet, dont do coke...because you're 16. and it sucks to see this happen to someone. especially someone as young as you.
