if youre opiate naive and you took 50mg methadone and ativan on top of that you should get to the ER you might be overdosing. good luck man

Thread = Fail

I can't understand a thing you said but if you took 50mg methadone with no tolerance and benzos on top of that, then I highly recommend going to the ER because methadone and benzos are very easy to OD on when taken with no tolerance.

Ok either you're reaaaaally fucked up or you can't speak/type for shit. Either way, as said above, depending on your tolerance, 50mg methadone could make you very sick and 1mg ativan is not only going to potentiate the opiates but it will slllooooowwwww yyyyyoyooooouuuuurrrr mooottttooorrrr ssskkkkiiiiilllllllllsssssss dddooooowwwwnnnnnn as I can see it already has, looking at your typing.

If you're not throwing up, then -chances are- you'll be ok once you come down a bit, however don't take that as your all-clear to not seek help!! If you're having trouble breathing, if it's getting worse, you're vomiting or anything other than just feeling really high, CALL 911. How do your eyes look? Are you sweating profusely? Do you feel like someone is standing on your chest?

You can always call a poison control hotline, I'm pretty sure it's anonymous. At least they can tell you what to do in real time.

Good luck, don't become a statistic please.

I also think there needs to be a sticky about these kind of threads. Every day I come on here and see someone posting asking if they're OD'ing or not. It makes me wonder how many people have died on their keyboard when they should've been dialing 911.

I can't help but see myself replying to a thread like this, screaming at someone to call the ER, meanwhile there they are hunched over their desk, Bluelight.ru up on the screen, a half typed response in the quick reply box, their head on the keyboard holding down the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee key, bottle of pills knocked over across the table............and no one else in the world who knows that this poor fucker is here, by himself, hanging on by a thread......pun intended!

Hopefully the OP has sought out professional help by now. 50mg methadone without a tolerance is asking for an overdose situation. With the lorazepam on top of that, bad news man.

Edit: We seriously cannot help you if you're overdosing. There should be a sticky for these kinds of things. This is a forum, not an emergency room. Worth repeating.

This thread will probably be closed.

^I'm just going to leave it open for maybe some clarification of what is going on... I hope the OP is alright.

To answer the part of the question I recognize, yes, Ativan potentiates methadone quite a bit and this is a deadly combination.

To you guys in the thread- What would this sticky say? Once someone has come online for help, that decision has already been made. We can tell them to seek medical advice from here, but I guarantee a sticky isn't going to prevent these posts from popping up. (It is in the rules already...) ...I'm open to suggestion, though.

Fuck mate I hope yer ok :\
Hospital definitely. If you're Opiate and Benzo naive then, as mentioned, this can be a killer combo :(
Please get in touch ASAP.

omg i am sorry but this was just an epic response..

shit. I remember being like 17 and taking 20 mg of methadone and puking everywhere all day. You took 50 and ativan. You pretty much never want to combine benzos and opiods (erther synthetic semi blockers or not). I take a lot of benzos, and a whole lot of opiates, and I very rarely cross the two. You need to be careful. If you waited it out and end up okay, good for you you got lucky. You really should have hopefully have thrown up and sought medical help. I hope everything worked out for you man, we don't need more people od'ing. (especially on some shitty stuff like methadone). Best of luck, dude.

I wanna keep track of this thread so im posting. Who takes 50mgs without knowing shit? He has bluelight. Brought upon himself is what iiii say. But judging from the post im sure he has some kinda tolerance. lol hopefully he replies soon

Its in the guidelines, but I know what you mean. The only advice we can give them is "GO TO THE HOSPITAL."

Hopefully the fact that he's been offline for several hours means that he got help and went to the hospital. I'm going to go ahead and close this up, OP please PM me and let me know that you're alright
