NOTE: Using a very basic version of the cold water extraction method.

Currently i'm using two two types of over the counter Codeine/Paracetamol pills, one of which are coated in red. I crushed all the pills up and put it in two bottles of water in the fridge for a couple of hours, but now the waters pink. From what I've read online I should pour the solution through a cheesecloth once the solution is clear with the paracetamol sediment at the bottom, but I don't see that happening with this pink water business.. Should I just strain the solution anyway tomorrow as planned or am I screwed at this point?

You are fine. The red dye used is apparently water soluble but of no harm to you. There is also minimal need to wait for the solids to settle to the bottom however this may help with filtration rate if you don't have a Buchner funnel.
