Sending PBS meds overseas

I am traveling in Germany and I need medication that my stupid health fund wont cover. I have a perscription back home of the medication I need, do you think if I had someone get in dispensed then sent to me I would be in breach of the law?
It seems like they may be room to move in the rules?

# carry or enclose a letter from their doctor detailing what the medicine is, how much they will be taking or sending, and stating that the medicine is for their personal use
# leave the medicine in its original packaging.

Looks pretty straight forward - stick to the guidelines and if you're unsure, give them a call and ask

I'd ask first, and definitely make sure the Rx goes in the package if you do this.

Don't do it. They're really cracking down on this at the moment... trust me when I say this

Cracking down on sending medication you are actually prescribed, or sending/receiving medication you don't have a script for?

Maybe this is something he could talk to the consulate about; they may be able to provide advice.

maybe ask a german police station, or a doc?
if you really need the meds, hospitals in germany cant send you away without helping you. if they try to, tell them youre going to talk to your lawyer.

each contry has different laws and medical systems, mr blonde was right in suggesting that you go and see the Australian consulate,

they may even have delt with this before which is highly likely knowing how many aussies are over in europe, and they should be familiar with the law.

there might even be a way you could get it posted to the consulate, but like the other poster said the doctors in germany do have a duty of care to paitents so if you need it go and see a good doc, even ask the consulate who they use as a preferred dr?
