I plan on becoming a Conservative Rabbi. Does anyone have any experience with seminary school, hopefully a Jewish seminary? I was wondering what to expect in terms of well, environment.
Samael - I've approached beingness as a person of deep faith as a way to finish school. I have not elected to go through the theological route (and I'll talk to you personally as to why if you wish) - I admire your dedication and wish you the best in your studies, now and always.
In my (secular) experience, I can advise you to please speak to the people in your field about their own experiences. Rabbis are scholars by nature and can best provide you the knowledge you seek. The best spiritual leaders are also counselors. You're already being a counselor and a seeker, but are you taking on too much at a time?
Well, that's why I'm gathering information now. There's got to be ONE BL'er who's tried seminary, and I'd like to know their experience. I'm not jumping in right now, I've got a lot on my plate as it is.
