Semi-synthetic opioid painkillers question

Now, I'm not trying to be an idiot here, but I have a bit of a condition. I have what I would consider to be chronic headaches. At the same time, I have quite an appetite for things like Percocet, Vicodin, etc. And, painkillers of this caliber are, honestly, about the only thing that can even put a dent in these headaches. How would an individual go about getting a prescription for a painkiller such as these without feeling like a junkie or getting laughed out of the doctor's office? Any suggestions on how to propose my case to the doctor? Like I said earlier, I'm not trying to be an asshole, I just think that maybe I would benefit from this and I would appreciate any advice of tips from anyone who can help a poor boy with headaches.

I can understand you desire for those drugs....but maybe you should try out a method of controlling the pain that doesn’t require that type of drug. Do you know what type of headache you are getting (migraine, tension, cluster....) there are a few non-addictive meds that help people like you out. Some antidepressants raise the threshold for pain as well....this may help. Good luck…pain sucks….

dude...marijuana.
Hell, if you're ultra lucky or if you have "cluster headaches" and live in a state like Cali, you might even be able to get cannabis or THC pills RXd.
Anyways, Marijuana is prescribed for severe/migrane/cluster headaches (along with the more traditional glaucoma and shit like that), so toke up, that should help a lot.

Thanks. I've tried about any and everything I could get my hands on, have heard about or have been referred to through doctors. Nothing works. Nothing. One day, I decided that maybe an actual painkiller (Vicodin) could help me through one of the worse headaches I'd had recently. Sure enough, goodbye headache. I just kinda want a little how to get it prescribed advice. Nothing crazy, and not even for recreational use. I just hate these fucking headaches. By the way, I don't know what kind they are. They're dull, pulsing, excruciating, feel like my eyeball is either being torn manually with a spoon from the socket slowly or gouged with a really pointy thumb.
P.S. of all the things I've smoked I hate marijuana the most. Honestly. I'm just one of those people that really hates the feeling of being stoned. It doesn't work all that well for these particular headaches, either.

Well, don't go to the docter complaining you have a headache. It won't matter if you walk in crying, the first thing he'll try is one of those cortico-steriod nasal sprays,or at best, something like Fioracet. Then you'll have to go back again and tell him its not working. He'll probaly then try something like Stadol nosespray. Then you'll have to go back again and possiably again and again, before he'll be willing to put you on a long-term maintance dose of hydrocodone or oxycodone. From experiences of my own and others, this is usually what happens. It just takes you too long and cost too much.
The best thing you can do is suddenly develop a terrible back injury and do some damn good acting. Also try and check around and find out which doctors in your area are the quickest to prescribe CII and III drugs.Even the smallest towns i've lived in have at least one "understanding" doctor.

p.s.back injuries are very painful and immpossible to disprove.

If you have legit headaches then there is an entire arsenol of shit I am guessing you have not been through... they have come along way in treating headaches and have many VERY effective treetments that are non-narcotic... as for getting narcotics for fun - it is a VERY long process, just take what yer given and go from there - hint - don't say "it doesn't work", but rather read up on the drug and find some of the common side effects, then go to yer doc and complain of those side effects...
TAOS v2.0 will be out soon... really..

If it is a migrane, you might wanna try the tryptan class of drugs (ie. Zolmatryptan and it's chemical cousins). No, they wont get you high, but they do work well on true migranes.
Goodluck.

Actually the best ration is in Hycodan...no APAP...I'd rather have Homatropine than APAP anyday...plus it hits faster and tastes OH SO good!

While we are dreaming about Hycodan for a headache... how about 100ug Duragesic (1 every day) and some 4mg Dilaudid for that break-through ...
Sorry, I think yer doc would be quicker to throw you some Imitrex...

God damnit... I posted this on the wrong thread

In another thread someone was saying that the best ratio of Hydrocodone/APAP was 10/325 <SG i think it was>...and since I've been up for 2 days, I thought this was the correct thread.
So, PhreeX, you may now go fuck yourself.

Just for general info...
sounds like you are getting migraines. You probably won't get opiates for that because they actually make things worse!
Taking a pain killer for a migraine only masks the pain, and while that is good for the few hours it works, it causes what they call rebound headaches and they are a real BITCH!
You should be looking into Amerge or Maxalt for a migraine, clusters would be other things and the only one I know of is oxygen.

yeah opiates are pretty rare for true migraines....they increase intercerebral pressure which is often the cause of a migraine. The only narcotic which is really used is Stadol....it is only C4 so you may be able to get it...it is quite yummy! Sometimes fioricet with codeine is prescribed also.........I have had good luck with dihydroergotamine injections for migraines and cluster headaches..........
