From Me, To Me....a letter to myself
Hello! I am writing this letter finally because there are some important things I think you should know.
First of all, you may ask, "who is this stranger?", but you should know that I have been observing you for quite some time now, and I feel that I have come to know you very well.
You may not remember, or may feel confused as to who I am, but I can tell you that we have definitely met before. We knew each other a long time ago, but have lost touch for many many years. I have recently been making an effort to contact you personally, but it seems as if I can never get your full attention.
Well, let me start off by telling you how much I admire your presence. I have noticed your love of life, your respect and empathy toward others, and your effortless emphasis on all things positive. It may seem crazy, but no matter what, I can look at your face and be reassured that all is well.
May I also mention how much I enjoy your smile? I don't see it that often, in full, but it is always present in your eyes. I can see the warmth that builds in the faces of others when they witness this, I can tell by the way they look at you and the way they respond to your actions. The light in your eyes brings a new meaning to the word "delight". I have seen you grow in body and in age, but you will forever have the spirit of that child I knew so long ago.
But, lately, as I get closer to contacting you, I see you step back a little. Not much, but just out of reach. Do you sense my presence, and get scared away? Do you not know what to expect from me? Why do you continue this quest, why do you keep looking elsewhere when I am right here? Maybe you still are not quite ready to find me, or to let me in. I know that you are a perfectionist, and that you only accept the best for yourself, and I am here to give that to you and support your every decision.
The time will soon come when we will meet again. I am not going to push it, as you should not either. The more you search, the closer I will come, just as long as you are focused and moving in the right direction. That is all I can say, for I cannot convince you of anything. You must find out for yourself. You have been through alot of up's and down's, and have managed to stay focused on the good that lies ahead, and that assures me that our time will come soon.
By writing this letter, I am trying to let you know that when you are ready, I am here. I am with you all the way. I know you feel me, and I know that you will discover me soon, so when you are absolutely ready, I will reveal myself to you.
