My friends call me Reverend Jim. I'm a real character unintentionally patterned off the fictional character Jim Ignatowski (I spelled it wrong in my user name) from the TV show Taxi. You'd have to have watched the show to understand the connection, though you can copy paste the name into YouTube. Jim is definitely a trip. I managed to make it through the last few years of the 60's, the 70's, and the early 80's, and still be somewhat functional. In person, I come off as a real dumb shit since my mouth doesn't have any edit features. When I write, I have backspace, delete, spell check and then the 'submit' button.
I don't partake much anymore, since they drug test at work on a random basis. I smoked weed often, though never in large amounts. I believe I'm allergic to it, since it makes me extremely hyper and I almost trip on it. I've had periods where my friends and I were into whatever happened to be around at the time, coke in various forms, Crystal T (PCP?) and acid. Acid was always my drug of choice. Never did opiates.
Although I'm not much into it anymore, I have kids in their 20's. They did heed some of my advice, like everything in moderation, but they're into things I have no knowledge or experience with, like X and designer drugs, along with the other popular stuff. Hopefully, I can learn something and maybe contribute something from my experience.
Right now, I'm just counting down the days until I no longer have to pee in a cup!
