Ok, ill give you some background first. I came up on 300 50mg tramadol about 2 years ago. I'm not exaggerating i took these things my whole junior year of high school like every fuckin day. I would take anywhere from 100mg to 800mg on a daily basis. Well eventually i ran out them and that was that,I moved on with my life. I was off them for 2 years and last week i got 13 more 50 mg pills. I decided to take 4 cause i was tryin to get fucked up and about an hour into right after i had smoked some dank i ended up going into a seizure. I dont remember anything except waking up and being hella confused.

My question is "Is it ever safe to take tramadol again? Will i be me more susceptible to having another seizure?

Ive never had a seizure before this nor does my family have any history of seizures.

And i know tramadol in high doses may cause seizures

4 is only 200mg. If you had a seizure at 200mg... well, if I were you, I would probably avoid tramadol in the future.

as posted, stay away from it for sure.

tramadol gave me myoclonic jerks from around the same dose, and that hung around for a fair while, granted there was other factors(opiate use) but I will never touch Tramadol again, as I beleive if i did, I most likely will have similar affects.

I have read that the brain learns to have seizures(basically having one, can then cause the brain to have more), so I wouldnt push or tempt fate if i was you.

200mg wow makes me think there was some wierd kind of natural potentiator in the weed you smoked.
Or something in it that may trigger seizures. I know how wierd this sounds as an idea but I've never heard of anyone having a seizure at that low a dose before.

I once got myoclonic jerks/seizure after 100mg Tramadol with no seizure history. I managed to get a grip again with 3mg clonopin. Tramadol is absolute filth imho. Better stick to safer opiates like Codeine or Tilidine.

I have chronic pain & get what my doctor calls weak opioids (codeine/tramadol) but rarely have a got even a hint from my doctor that this kind of thing happens: he just said not to stop taking them suddenly & when i told him that i was okay i hadn't taken any for days he put me back on 200mg twice daily.

Yeah, so seeing as you've already had a damn seizure i would say to avoid the stuff & if you must take it use a benzo too.

Don't take it again.
Seizure at that low, you will have another one likely.

wow scary news, thanks for the update.

now the only problem with everyone's "fuck tramadol" advice is that it's easier said than done; tramadol is the easiest to get of all the opiates, I'd say. but yeah, it sucks...

Trust me, I've been on the stuff for years.
It can be hard to get off.
Perhaps I don't have a cold, perhaps its w/ds... FIIK

similar to my experience, jerking pretty full on, but no more than 1 at a time, so i took some Valium, and that stopped it, but it then hung around for ages, whenever i would be sitting still, i would get a myoclonic jerk, or just in bed, sort of just about to fall asleep(i know that is normal but this was definitely brought on by the tramadol) took ages to stop happening/go back to normal, so now i will not touch the stuff, which is not hard for me, although it is SO easy to get where i am, literally cheap as chips and over the counter at any pharmacy.
