I am prescribed pantrozapole and domperidone due to a bad stomach.

I'm a very experienced drug user (tripping on LSD for 4 years, lost count of trips) and on Wednesday night took 3 drops of 100ug LSD, licking it off my hand along with ginger extract in a pill,. This wasn't my strongest psychedelic experience and as I was in a hotel with my girlfriend who has used LSD between 15-25 times I'd say, things were very relaxed. The only things I had consumed prior was 0.25-0.5mg of Xanax earlier in the day (this is the only linking to seizures I have, I was taking Xanax in the days up to this few mg at most though) alongside a few cups of Ginkgo Bilboa tea while tripping.

I remember post-peak mixing on my laptop, standing up and next thing night porter is in the room / ambulance trying to cox out of me what happened. I told them I took LSD and it's been put down as a drug-induced seizure, full convulsing, foaming at the mouth. In the hospital I got severe nausea (concussion maybe?) and couldn't hold anything down. They then let me go in the morning/afternoon and upon arriving home explaining the situation I went into another seizure very similar. This time I got brain scan etc to check things were okay and they seemed to be both of these were within 24 hours of ingesting LSD but both times were past the peak. I had to then remain in hospital for basically another 24 hours in Neurology ward.

Obviously I need to chill out and take a break. But it would be good to get some direction in this, normally I smoke weed during the trip, so it was even less intense on the brain than normal I'd expect? and hadn't since we were in a hotel room. I also have been in much more sensory-enlightening environments on higher doses of psychedelics and been completely fine. This was one of my most tranquil trips. No research I've done in the past links to this.

Also now that this has happened people are also claiming that I have had seizures on ketamine, with my fists/teeth stuck clenching rather than muscles/head spasming like the full blown seizures I had on Wed/Thurs when in k-holes, which then lead to me yelling in an increasingly louder voice of confusion (probably me thinking I'm dead). But is this not an anti-convulsant? People are trying to link this together but aren't they completely different receptors in your brain?

Psychedelics are quite a big thing in my life, after a few months break especially (I'm satisfied for now, but I'll likely be curious again). I don't want to cut these out entirely, but does anyone know a little more about this or have any experience? Haven't even had a pipe of weed since...is this okay? The term 'drugs' is too generalized for me and I'm sure for any one else who has a similar usage to me, surely it would be a specific drug or type? People are trying to justify to me that if I just stuck to alcohol it would be different, being quite hardcore into my tripping this just leaves me more curious. I'd be much happier to cut out MDMA/Ketamine/Other drug usage and be able to continue using LSD/Psilocin/Weed which I thought were the safest of them all, but it's been just solely LSD, I'm wondering if the LSD was just the final point. Had I rested/ate properly since partying over December/Christmas and laid off the xanax a bit I'm wondering if this would have happened - but all I can do is speculate and doctors are fairly useless in this situation from my experience as I was just told not to take 'drugs' again.

Can serotonin syndrome cause this? Reason being heavy, heavy MDMA use on Boxing Day / New Years + Regular Xanax + Regular Ginkgo Bilboa Capsules/Tea + This LSD trip, AL-LAD trip and multiple 4-ACO-DMT within the last month makes me think I just took things a bit far and this is a cause. The ketamine is a bit of a spanner in the works though. Does anyone have any other suggestions/advice/experience? Also why is this happening now, when I've had much higher dosed trips also in combinations in more stimulating settings as opposed to what was seen as a quiet night in the hotel room tripping. It was the same batch of LSD as I had used many times before, a particularly good one.

I'm planning a break regardless, but in all honesty would be nice to have a smoke of some weed.

I am a BL user, but due to personal nature of post I would prefer to remain anonymous. Thanks.

At least you went to see medical professionals, what did they say? Are you addicted to Xanax or do you take it daily in very large amounts? That's one way a seizure can happen on a benzo when the person goes through withdrawal or does not take a large dose like they have been taking daily. Have you ever had a seizure before? Maybe you are epileptic? Are you sure it was actual LSD you took and not a research chem? Did you avoid eating or have very low blood sugar? I'm not a medical professional I am just asking these questions based on what you wrote happened to you. The ginger and ginkgo bilboa should not have caused you to have a seizure.

This is what I was thinking. Was it Xanax withdrawal and the LSD is just a red herring? Or possibly that the LSD lowered your seizure threshold, precipitating the effects of Xanax withdrawal?

High doses of psychedelics can cause seizures, & of course, having other compounds such a Xanax in the system only increases that likilhood.

Have you considered the possibility that your "acid" might have been some other psychedelic? The NBOMe are still being missrepresented as LSD & they certainly seem likely to bring untoward effects.

As you intend to continue using psychedelics, it might be wise to leave a long gap before trying again, perhaps reduce your doasges in future & try to make sure you've got no other psychoactives in your system.

All the best :)
