Stupid me,I drink some alcohol and took 2 xanax,2 day later I found out I took 12 of .5mg(I done the same thing a month ago) . I didn't think I would get seizure but I did, now I'm not sure how much xanax I should take daily(I wasn't before), .5?.25? I don't feel dependence on it,just scare of another seizure :(

Edit:Also, I did stress myself contain for 3 day straight since I was paranoid with some delivery.Maybe that added to the cause of seizure too?

I have read that seizures "can" definitely happen if you combine the two, too much GABA activity in the brain being stimulated, your brains neurons probably went into panic mode. Either one alone should not cause seizures, even the combination should not cause seizures, but instead just make your "blackout".

Maybe you are really sensitive to GABAergic drugs. Xanax is an anti-convulsant, meaning it is usually prescribed as an anti-anxiety, muscle relaxant, or anti-convulsant(anti-seizure drug). Are you SURE its Xanax? Try to ID the pills using google, what you may be taking might not even be Xanax, there has been a lot of "fake xanax" going around from chinese pill presses coming to america. Did the doctor presribe these to you?

What happened exactly before you had this "seizure" ?

Yeah, the doctor prescribed it to me, I usually take it once in a while to relax or get high. I stop all sudden ,before I was taking almost daily. Oh,and I did blackout when I drink alcohol. So now I don't want to get seizure but I don't have enough until I get prescribed again, so I'm thinking just taking .25mg a day.

You are trying to ask someone who just took 6mg of xanax and drank to remember what happened?

Lol you know what I mean. Just trying to get an idea of what happened.

If you stopped taking xanax it can definitely cause rebound anxiety if you stop suddenly, it can cause seizures for sure, especially if it was everyday use.

Yeah,it was a withdraw since I didn't want to take it anymore after that blackout. After the seizure, should I take the xanax again? I don't feel like I need it now but I'm afraid of another seizure if I don't take it.

No... Only take xanax as needed. Otherwise taking it daily then stopping will royally fuck you in the ass. Benzos are highly addictive especially xanax because of its short half life and lipophilic action

Yeah that probably a good idea, I'm easily addicted so I will try to take as needed.Though, what about the seizure,I had one yesterday. Won't it happen again since I'm not tamping it but stop entirely?

No you don't have to stop entirely, just don't ever go from 0 to 60, then 60 to 0 again. If you find yourself on a Xanax binge just taper down your dose in a comfortable way until you don't need it. Wait a few days/weeks, then you can take them again without any symptoms.
