Benzos Seizure after about three weeks of w/d??

Funny after you posted that after having 2-3 2mg alprazolam for a few days. Last night my fiance and I emptied a bottle of 50 2mg, 50mg each just as you predicted. Nasty things benzodiazepines!

Every seizure I have had when I've been unable to obtain benzos, and I've had a lot of them (12 or 13), have always been grand mal seizures or "tonic clonic x2"? seizures, occurring usually on day 3 of withdrawal. Happy to say my fiance and I are no longer addicted to benzos, after 5 weeks in a detox facility and then a rehabilitation center. Now, if I take alprazolam I get a nice result from 2-3mg instead of 50-60mg.

You should not keep alprazolam if you cannot store it without abusing it. I just got off a nightmare of benzodiazepine addiction and I'm still dealing with PAWS about a year after stopping daily triple digit dosing. I relapsed recently and consumed a bottle of bars and didn't achieve anywhere near the relief I was expecting. Other than that speedbump in the road that is my recovery to benzodiazepine addiction, things have gotten much easier now that I'm actually at least making an attempt to confront the core problems.

Tapering slowly off benzodiazepines is an absolute must. Do not attempt to go cold turkey off such a high dose, high potency triazolo-benzodiazepine. The longer you've been taking these medications, the higher your chances of experiencing seizures. You need to treat these medications like tools rather than toys, or else give up all hope of them working for either while you royally fuck up your life.

hi guys,
- used etizolam for a period of two to three weeks daily, 30 - 40 mg used tops
- third or fourth day completely off them, i am extremely anxious and took .5

am i okay, what should i do..
i have a lot of stress right now, but also a paranoid hypochondira like mind
that is intensifying everything ( not helping )

i assume cross tolerance with benzos, as well as not being a good way to "ween" off
just need some reassurance, to trick my brain back 8(
i did use etiz 100 mg + in the last month or two

If all you have is stress & paranoia you really should be fine, but nonetheless as a lot of us mentioned, you should NOT quit cold turkey.

three weeks of 30-40mg etizolam daily? You are already physically dependent on a high dose, you need to taper your dose down immediately. If you don't have any more etizolam or benzodiazepines then you must seek immediate medical attention, do not drive. You cannot "trick your brain" into not having tonic clonic grand maul seizures.

A week ago after my xanax script ran out my wife seen me on our bed, twitching my eyebrows, eyes shut tight, I had a feeling as I was unable to move my body felt 1000 pounds, but I was still aware of my surroundings. I was able to hear her when she asked me if she should call 911 and with all my strength I as able to partially mutter "no," to her. A minute or 2 later I was back to normal although with a pretty wicked headache. I was not sure weather this was a seizure or what it was. Describe how you felt during your seizure?

This sounds more like sleep paralysis.

hi again,
definitely no more than 6mg in a given day,
have plenty etizolam and benzos,
when i decided to stop the etizolam i did work down to .5s

I would like to believe i am having no w/d,
slight rebound + everything else going on = sick
no i am not tricking my brain in that way.
