A couple of years ago my brother broke his arm, and was prescribed Lortab™ (Hydrocodone). He took 2 the first day, and 2 more the second day, then quit. He said it wasn't worth it because it didn't help with the pain the second day anymore (when it had the first day) and it made him delirious and see black spots.
This made me curious because no opiate has done this to me before. I have never gotten any visuals from opioid medications before, with the exception of Meprozine™ (Meperidine + Promethazine). I would hallucinate people or my surroundings under my closed eyelids while fully conscious (I think they were super cool, because I never hallucinated out side of a fever before), but I think it was the Promethazine, because Diphenhydramine has created similar visuals for me as well.
Has anyone else seen these 'black spots' after taking such low doses of an opioid?
