Seeing people you know, then it's not them

This has only happened to me a few times on mdma but it puzzles me quite a bit. Now I usually get slight visual hallucinations/distortions on the drive home after a night of rolling especially when I smoke weed after. However this happens usually a a moderately high does I say anywhere from 200-400 mgs. Yesterday I took about 250 mgs and ended up going up to three people thinking they were someone I knew and when I go up to shake their hand im like uh who the fuck are you haha. It is clear as day it's them until you get close up to them. Funny enough it happened to my buddy and also two people did it to me. I even told a chick she was telling me the wrong name because I swore she was someone else. I even had one guy come up to me numerous times saying me and him were bros and offended I didn't remember him. Telling me I've met him at 3 other raves but I was probly to high to remember.

Anyways I just thought this was funny as it usually happens when I get to over 200 mgs. Me and my buddies get it all the time and I always get a nice chuckle after it, just wondering how many people have this happen to them as well?
 
haha fuck this just brought back some funny bent memories. iv done that heaps of times at clubs or festivals. be like 'heeeey whats up?', and they they be like '*weird face, sometimes smile* who the fuck are you?' haha i be like damn, keep jawing.

I used to find this very regularly when I started smoking cannabis, and have noticed it also occasionally on LSD.
 
hahahah! i get this all the time too its hilarious

i'll be dancing at a show and think i see someone i havent seen in years and go up to them and say whats up hahah
 
I hate this so much, trying to find who you came with is a nightmare. I end up staring at people I don't know, trying to realize if I recognie them of or not.
 
Lol this is why I stick to rolling indoors mostly. With a few friends. I like to roll hard and these are definitely signs your on that level.

I personally don't like being fucked up in a public environment. On MDMA anyways
 
Usually happens when ive taken large amounts, I'll be dancing or just chilling then I run up and hug someone I think I know just to find out it some stranger. Once I ran up to a girl I thought I was dating at the time and hugged her from behind. Ended up being one of the stage dancers, was really weird cause I realized my girlfriend wasn't even at that rave.

The random girl I hugged didn't seem to mind to much though she turned around and handed me a bottle of water. Then went off too dance lol.

My friends also seem too look like people I don't know when I look at them at a distance. Like there was some nights were I'll look at one of my friends from across a room and be like "who's the hell is that?" O_O just for it to turn it was one of my friends once I get closer
 
Well it's bad when you are stone cold sober and you haven't seen your dad in so long and you think you see him coming out the door of a store and reach up and give him a hug only to realize you just hugged the odd stranger who now thinks you are bat shit crazy girl. He said hey you always hug strange men? I just turned 50 shades of red and walked away!
 
Just wondering what kind of doses you guys were on when this kinda stuff happens. For me it seems to be when I get to around 250 mgs. When I started rolling this would have been a ridiculous amount but with tolerance it seems nothing too much at all.
 
I once thought everyone with a hat on was my friend, I ran up behind someone and then tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned round it was just some random stranger, I just said "fuck my life" and walked away. Was humiliating, so many people saw.
 
I had been clubbing with a bunch of really good mates - got home early hours and was laying on the couch 'chilling out'. I came around and thought my mates were with me in my apartment - they were moving between the rooms. I was sort of watching them in super slow motion - I was alone :D.
 
One time in the club, one of the girls I was with was being kissed by a random guy - or that's how it looked! In fact it was her girlfriend, all I could see was the hair!!! Embarrassing moment when I stepped in to stop it...
