Hello,
I have a medullary sponge kidney making me very susceptible to kidney stones
. I get maybe 3 a month on average. The first few times I got them I had to go to the ER to get dripped as the pain was absolutely horrific. But now I have learned to deal with the pain to the extend that I can just take some painkillers and trek it out. Inconveniently when this happens I have to ask my father to write me a Rx which he is more than willing to do but it's just annoying to have to ask him each time, not to mention awkward. I'd rather have my own Rx to have for when I need it.
My question is would it be appropriate to ask my doc straight up for a Rx? I have loads of evidence of my condition. He's a real old school doc; once my father called and got him to write me a D-amphetamine Rx and it was ready for me before I could blink. I just wouldn't know what to say to him. My father won't speak on my behalf either as I think he secretly doesn't want me to be a legal pain patient.
I like to do opiates, they're my drug of choice hands down but i'm very good at monitoring myself and I have very strict rules on how I use them recreationally.
Thank you for your help
