Has this ever happened to anyone?

About 3-5 months ago I bought a quarter ounce for a friend's birthday party (JM). I had quite a lot, more than I usually would of. Me and JM were out the back having a blunt, half way through the blunt I suddenly felt as if someone put ear muffs on me. A second after this, everything I saw suddenly turned into shades of purple.

I've not heard of this happening to anyone before and I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has experienced this? If this hasn't happened to anyone else, I'm also wondering if it was sprayed with something (although obviously you can't tell me something I've had is sprayed, it would be helpful if someone else believes it's a possibility).

I think what you experienced was due to a sudden increase in blood pressure. Something similar happend to me a few years ago. I could barely hear my friends talking and then my vision went to purple but, I passed out also. I haven't smoked since then.

It's never happened to me personally, but I've seen someone take a bong rip then cough their lungs out for a few minutes. Afterwards, he said it sounded like he was under water and his vision was "blue and pulsing". He ended up walking over to the couch, collapsing on it, and then after about 10 minutes he told me he felt normal again but had a wicked headache. About a half hour after that, he vomited and felt completely normal. Was scary for me because I've smoked with this kid for years, and NOTHING like that has ever happened. It makes me think it wasn't related to the weed but perhaps food poisoning or something else. I don't know though, maybe there is a connection if it happened to Lil as well while smoking.

I think it has something due with not enough oxygen, but I guess if you weren't coughing and trying to gasp for air this wouldn't make sense. All I know is that sucks you went through that, was probably pretty scary.

Large amounts of marijuana spikes your blood pressure upon ingestion, then depresses it enough to potentially make you blackout. If you search on Google, you can find several accounts of individuals losing a large portion of their hearing and seeing in shades of blue or purple prior to blacking out. Your blood pressure was probably just really low.
