So, it's Fall and the Wintertime's coming. You know people are going to be kind of depressed because of it. What do you do to cope with Seasonal Affective Disorder if you have it ?

i had low vitamin d and was told to go outside and take vitamin d... maybe vitamin d helps people in the winter?

idk.. i've been going for walks and can't really do that in the winter... last winter i slept like 16 hours a day and lost 25 pounds.. idk how to get through the winter and be healthy. i think i might get some light weights this winter and continue my physical therapy since i can't go out and walk.

exercise if possible.
those lights seem to work (ime) but ya have to basically have it in your face for results. have a couple of them may have to pull one out if weathers persists to be as it has.
find anything to hold ones attention for a while. having passions to engage in helps but thats kinda hard when depressed.
hope the best with this. but yeah i feel SAD and at least acknowledge it for what it is and respond with whatever i can find to combat the side effects.
peace

I struggle with SAD too. My plan is to make a reading list for myself and start going to the gym I think. I hope that doesn't sound too trite. Be gentle with yourself :)

Personally I plan to kidnap alasdairm, as well as Shinji Ikari, and subject them to tickle torture and watching clown porn. I will find this very entertaining, and my endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine levels will suffice.

There are "Sun Lamp"s that may or may not work. My father used to have one but doesn't use it anymore.

A Sun Lamp for SAD: Does It Work?:
Sun lamps positively impact your body’s regulation of melatonin, a hormone that helps manage your sleep-wake cycle, as well as serotonin, which helps regulate your mood by relaying signals in your brain.

“By restoring the natural day-night (circadian) rhythm to our system, bright light therapy lamps reduce melatonin production and improve serotonin production,” explains Dr. Cain. “The end result is often a significant improvement in normal sleep patterns and mood.”

They (lamps) work for me to a degree. No one has 10 to 15 min to sit still anymore anyways. lol
I believe if ya takin vit d ya sposed to do it with a fatty snack/meal? something to do with abortion or something. don't quote me do the research for sure.
but yeah gymn type stuff or any physical activity that is a little taxing in and/or around the house works great in lieu ... for me. (yardwork lovit).
streaming passes lifetimes but don't recommend it for da blues. ;)

That's terrible getting bummed ,you should report it to the police .I can imagine getting bummed especially in wet and cold conditions was a horrible experience
Unless it was consensual
