The U.S. is falling to tyranny. Doesn't get more obvious than when you read stories like this. Foreigners, citizens, makes no difference.
They've been degrading and raping the accused and convicted for years, it's just becoming more mainstream now.
That's the nature of government. You give an inch, they take a mile. Why are people so clueless? The second that people got afraid after 9/11 and begged the government to make them feel safe, the descent into tyranny really accelerated. It's pathetically easy to increase government power, but it's extremely difficult to undo those changes.
It'll be an interesting social experiment to see how much people will take before they start getting organized and fighting back. My guess is that people will remain as complacent as possible until everything is falling down around them.

As well as the hospital consider an email to elected representatives in Washington too. Also effective is contacting more media.
My advice when writing letters or emails is be polite, never swear. I get really mad too but swearing in Email allows them to just hit delete. Some agencies are forced to answer polite inquiries. Also spell check so you don't sound like an idiot. Make you point, don't rant. Mention that you are contacting your elected representatives to complain, and encouraging the media to stay with the story.
I understand the fear of being on a list, but using your real name is almost always more effective than using a made up one. Most newspapers won't print your letter unless you include a phone number. Really you don't even need to state you are anti drug war, just express your concern this can happen to your sister or daughter or brown people or poor people. Writing the border patrol is likely a waste, but writing the hospital might make them think twice.

All good advice.. Personally, I am not worried about being on a list of people who decided to stand up for our rights. After all I wasn't involved in the harassment, assault, sexual assault, and forced drugging of these people. I think the animals who carried this out are the ones who should be worried and not me. Instead of making lists of people who have the balls to stand up to tyranny they should stop being tyrannous. That being said I belive any intelligent caution a person can use to protect themselves from the lists of tyrannous people and groups is the way to go. But I'm done living in fear of these people.. fear is the main weapon they use to try and control, to attempt to justify the ways they abuse us, and what they are using to try and convince us that we should give up our rights.

this report is too similar to one only posted days ago regarding the gentleman with the apparent clenched ass cheeks requiring a cavity search and colonoscopy for no good reason other than suspicion.
standards for these invasive searches need to be tightened. people are being unnecessarily violated and stripped of their human rights.

I read about that case. There's more about that guy that isn't being released like the guy was probably acting like a total tweaker, had many prior drug related or drug smuggling arrests, was involved with gangs or the Cartel, had something on his record or did something that caused the police to think he had drugs on him or in his car.
I also read another article about him where he'd been stopped before and they found meth or illegal drugs up his ass.
Or maybe he just got very cocky and said something like, "I dare you to do a full body cavity search!" and they did. Or he was free to go at any time after the basic body and car search happened but he thought he was being detained or forced to stay and go to a hosptal in a nearby village for the advanced medical procedure.
Either way this, and what happened to the woman are minor compared to what can hypothetically or theoretically happen, and the American and world citizens let it happen.
