Hi guys,

I'm trying to find an alternative to tramadol that will actually work.. I know I am allergic to morphine, and that codeine based pain killers don't provide much (if any relief) and tramadol hasn't helped either.

the cause of the pain is the healed bone of where I broke my foot a few years ago, and this cold weather makes it hurt something fierce.

Any suggestions?

Well codeine converts to morphine so that's out of the question I suppose.

The best option is probably to talk to your doctor about this, as he can actually prescribe the meds.

Out of curiousity, what are the symptoms you experience when you ingest morphine?

Oxycodone maybe? It's semi-synthetic and iirc causes less histamine release than morphine, so you might have less trouble with it. But depending on your medical history and your relationship with your doctor it could be hard to just waltz in and ask for some endone or oxycontin.

Ive been taking Oxycodone and Panadine forte for a broken elbow,, Oxy alone at 10 Mg is awesome, I tried to buy a new mobile phone while on them and only just had the capacity to do so lol, was fun... atm im taking one oxy 5mg and one panadine forte' recreationally its quite nice...lay around and feel good type nights in.

Ahhh how good it is when u have no tolerance to opies. A whole 80mg pill does little to me :( To the OP, alprazolams or other benzos mite help with the pain but if codeine does little for u try a larger dose or consult ur doctor. An endone should be sufficient for u.

^ Absolutely. It has not been explained why the OP has problems with morphine yet can tolerate codeine, but regardless, it's best to talk to you doc about this and obtain any pain meds through him/her.

Thread closed. samii, PM me if you've any problems with this.
