Scuba Diving on Acid

So today at work the thought popped into my head of scuba diving on acid (or shrooms). And I can't help but to think that would have to be the craziest thing ever. Has anyone tried this? Or at the very least, done it while stoned. I would love to hear about it. I would love to have the experience of trying this
 
Yeah. I wouldn't want to start getting claustrophobic while I'm 60 feet underwater. I've been doing it for 8 years though so I feel like I could handle it fine. I would just need the people around me to know I am tripping balls just in case things go bad
I'm not sure what Scuba Diving company would let me try this one out haha
 
I hate shrooms so I wouldn't even go there. I could do it, but I think if I was tripping when I went under it would be better. because the first portion of tripping for me, I have too much anxiety/energy
 
Honestly, this sounds like a terrible idea. Just saying. Don't get me wrong, I love acid, but it just doesn't sound like a good combination. Too many things could go wrong and in the absolute worst case scenario you could actually die.

Unless you were extraordinarily experienced and completely 100% comfortable with scuba diving whilst sober, I would strongly advised against scuba diving whilst on any mind-altering substances. It just sounds too dangerous, and totally not worth the risk.

I completely agree it could turn out to be a horrible idea. I just think the concept of it in a world where nothing can go wrong it would be very fun
That doesn't mean I wouldn't try to do it if I didn't have the chance to though. If when it came down to it though, if I was the slightest bit uncomfortable I wouldn't do it
 
I agree with trying it with snorkeling first - if you are that set on it - and don't do it if you are not well skilled with scuba diving.

Maybe a lighter RC would be a better fit 2C-C, 2C-I? to avoid things going wrong mentally. I mean, I dunno how I would feel about full ego loss while in a suit deep underwater?? It could be incredibly dangerous - even if it is amazing.

Oh for sure man!! I agree with that :)
In a world where nothing could go wrong, most activities that I can think of, regardless of the associated danger, would be awesome fun on acid ;)
 
It would be great if you had one of those full body suits with the helmets and some way of communicating just incase something goes wrong. Would never do it with normal scooba gear.
 
would there be any issues with increased intake of oxygen due to increased heart rate/blood flow etc etc?

i imagine you have to regulate your breathing quite a bit when scuba diving, do you imagine that'd be problematic while on acid?

i don't scuba dive myself but am intrigued by the idea!
 
this sounds rad, but only if you are very experienced.

I am not from the ocean, but I have been snowboarding on a powder day on high-dose mushrooms which was awesome. Lots of floating, flying past trees an other people, fallin over giggling.... such a blast.
 
Sounds a bit of a nightmare for me, wouldn't want to be stuck underwater whilst on something like that.

On a more practical point, good luck with finding a scuba diving company that will allow you to dive whilst on drugs. I'm sure they would be able to tell.
 
I think the idea of scuba diving on any drug is astounding however the practicality is no where even on the charts. Scuba diving isn't what it looks like "Yo, bro help me put this tank on,...alright....were in!...damn look at these fish!". Its more like regulating pressures making sure you don't fuck things up, making sure the air levels are right(this would be most dangerous IMO, I believe theres multi gauges and they have to be at certain proportions and just quickly glancing regularly would be bad let alone on a head full of LSD). Plus I just imagine the person being to careless and letting the "OOOOO AHHHHH" overrun them and chase or go somewhere dangerous. The ocean isn't really someplace you can jump it do things in and get out at the same spot either, you have to worry about currents and the like, even in regular large bodies you have to worry about this. To me its just to much worry, I imagine before popping the blots I would be so pumped and excited, then right when I see all the gear and steps it actually takes to do it, I would probably just be like "Fuck it!" and go listen to some tunes on the beach/next to the water.
 
Build it up if you really wanted to try it. Although it is dangerous sounds like a lot of fun as well. I'd start with maybe trying to scuba with a not so dangerous mind altering substance then maybe try snorkling while tripping and take it from there. I am terrified of large expanses of water especially if things live in them, so don't think this sounds like the setting of a good trip for me.
 
My dads friend has done this, along with back country skiing on L. Any way, he said he would just go out to a nice patch of reef and find a sandy area where he could just sit indian style and observe. Definitely dangerous, still sounds pretty awesome though.
 
That sounds like an interesting idea for sure, but as others have said: Very risky. Personally, I find scuba diving so enthralling that it's almost like a drug in itself, so serene and beautiful. I'd like to snorkel on acid though, a nice secluded shallow bay with plenty of wildlife sounds perfect :)
