Scratch on brand new roor

^^ Yea, my roor wasnt that expensive...........

..................but i wish it was.

Well, i take that back. i dont wish mine was extremely expensive but it would be nice to have the Lime Green label as oppossed to the Forrest Green (im a cheapskate :p)

Hey man I have a ROOR red label (3.2mm) and near the mouth piece, inside the glass, there is a blemish. It's a few millimeters long and looks like a whiteish crack in the glass. Really blemish is the best word I can think of to describe it. There is no crack on the outside, it's all in the glass. It's really not all that noticeable though, and doesn't bother me.

My guess is that some air got in to the glass while it was being blown, only thing I could think of. But I've had her for two and a half years now, and it hasn't gotten bigger or anything so I'm okay with it. Had I bought a more expensive model I might of seen about getting it replaced, that's a lot of money.

Contact ROOR, what's the worst they can do, tell you no?

Get some 91% Rubbing alcohol and salt. Poor it in and shake it around for a few minutes and you will never be able to tell you smoked out of it.

im thinking that unless you bought it directly from roor, they will not accept a return. the place you bought it from, unless it's an online store, probably has a no returns policy.
but hey, you missed it the first time looking right? so will anyone else.

J-Dawg: $460 for a 35cm (14 inch) ROOR? You should never go to that store again; thats a terrible price.

i forgot to mention canadian prices. it was 350 for the bong plus tax, that came to 400 plus 60 dollar diffuser.

Yes i do have the recepit. I got my girl to look over the bong again because i dont have the best eyes and she says its in the glass. So how the fuck can a 5mm glass get scratched in the middle? she says its an air bubble or fiber or something.

im not worried about a tiny scratch on a roor, im worried about it being inside the bong and ressin getting into it and making it worse. thats why i was so fucking pissed. i sold my 3.2 little sista to get a nice thick straight shot and i want this god dam investment to last. and can people fuck off telling me why did you spend that much? i wanted a god dam good bong not a ten dollar piece of shit from china. some people take pride in their pieces and id rather be weilding a 400 dollar roor any day than some no name piece of shit.

Im gonna take some pics with my friends high-def camera and send them to roor.de. maybe they can give me insight to what it is or possibly a solution to get rid of it. I dont think they will replace it, but im down for some free roor gear if thats possible. Artaxerxer thanks for your input dude i really appreciate it. you understand how fustrating it is to invest in something expensive and not to get 100% quality.

you are tripping over nothing bro. the blemish is inside the glass, happens frequently. even if there was a nice scratch on the inner surface of the glass, resin would not accumulate more so in that area than in any other area. you will be able to see the resin on the scratch sooner than the glass cause it has a white background. that is all.

bro not to sound like a dick but your wrong. if theres a crack resin will be able to fill the crack. then that puts pressure on the walls of the glass as more resin fills the crack. then the crack gets bigger. The worst thing is for the srcratch to be on the inside of the glass. but i do agree, your right that its probably not a scratch and just a blemish. im just freaking out because this bong is my love child and i want it forever, and i want it to be mint forever. for fuck sakes i only clean it with and use distilled water on it, and i make my own ice cubes with distilled water so no water stains are on my bong. a tiny mark on my tube makes me mad but as long as its not a scratch i can blaze happy.

ive already smoked the shit out of it but i keep my pieces in mint condition so even if i returned it now there is no hard water stains or resin. but i honestly think its a defect and not scratch. im gonna take everyones advice and take some high def pics and send them to roor.de to get there opinion on the matter

ok i took pictures with my camera even tho there low quality. i took one of the mark on the bong but its too low quality to see so ill update when i get the better ones.

the bong %)

the mark is just under the water level to the right. i dont think it can be seen with this camera. but its vertical and its about 1 cm.

Well I can't see it with that camera. Your going to need a better picture if you want a new Roor. That is an excellent piece but for a bill and a half more you could have had a Volcano Vaporizer which would have been 5x better.

lmao i have v-tower 300 dollar vape i never use. roor with a carbon filter and a glo rod is smooth enough for me. vapes have such a weak high and i love smoking bongs i hate using a vape.
