If you think about it I just proved Arthur's point that at its core, the universe is not a rational place.
Honestly Arthur Shopenhauer is not for me. He is too much of a pessimist.
I prefer Monatigne, Orwell, Locke, Plato, Socrates, Epicurus, Rousseau... Even Neitzche makes a better philosophical point in regards to society, especially about atheism without necessarily sharing the same views on pessimism as Shopenhauer.
