Ok. I am going to make this quick because I don't know what may happen. I lost my flash drive at school and it had some accidental drug related articles on it and my professor found it. He just sent me a message. What should I do?

How incriminating, and what sort of articles? You could always try passing it off as a research project :D

They were some forum posts, but completely forgot about it. What should I do?

Ha not BDD material. I'm sure this will get closed or moved.

Sorry about you're situation, just say it's you're friends stuff or something.

Did he send you a message regarding the content of the flash drive? Or just a "I found your USB stick, come get it" kind of email? What drugs were they about? Was there anything self-incriminating on there, or just some news stories on drugs?

I don't know how old you are, what kind of school you're in or what the policies are, but if he finds your flash drive, I would think that doesn't mean he has the liberty to go through the content on it and confront you about it. That's private property and a breach of personal privacy is he's all asking you "What's this? What's that?" in your personal storage.

If they are just some news articles, just say they're old from some old assignment or something. If they're pictures of you blowing lines or something though, I don't think I can help you. :)

I think he mentioned drugs, but he talked quickly.
Psychs.

True.

Neither, they are forum posts.

Say you read a newspaper article and got intrigued in how drugs work. Maybe say you got interested in the chemistry or something.

Hard to tell though as we don't know the sort of content on it, whether it's a post on receptor affinities or one on how best to put heroin up your ass :P

Tell him to fuck off, none of his god damn business what those articles are about. If he goes further just frankly state that you and many of your peers are starting to be offered drugs and the least you can do is educate and protect yourself. you gotta stand up for yourself man.

There is nothing wrong with seeking drug-education information, after all, the DEA and Government try to provide that information, but they fail. that is where bluelight comes in.

Hi Synaps3,

Sorry to hear about this! We can't predict what will happen I'm afraid and so it's hard to know what advice to give you - it depends on exactly what was on there and what your professor is like, but I think it would be extremely unlikely that he would go to the police with it! If it is just some articles then you are fine, there is nothing wrong with reading articles about drugs. If it is forum posts, he'd likely have a hard time proving they are definitely yours..

This isn't really the sort of question we cover in here I'm afraid (check the BDD guidelines in my sig) and I can't think of any other forum on BL that would cover it either so I'm going to have to close it - but good luck, I really hope things turn out okay!
