Now hear me out, I've said this somewhere else before but when I had my Ayahuasca ritual there was a women who had schizophrenia and guess what? after 10 sessions she was cured. I'm still perplexed, I truly belive psychedelics can cure mental illness.
What about weed psychosis.

That's a dangerous and naive viewpoint to have. Psychedelics are far more likely to promote mental illness than cure it. Have you checked up on her recently? Is she still 'cured'?

it can happen but its very risky DMT is something can either send a person way worse or somehow cure them but i aint going to promote that but i know it can happen same with alot of researchers but of course its risky to say that to the public.

As I understand it the real risk with weed and schizophrenia is when it is used in adolescence. Idk how old you are but if I'm remembering correctly, most of the studies linking weed use and schizophrenia pertain to use in people aged about 15-25. Essentially, before the brain is finished developing and myelinating. I would be hesitant to think that mixing in another drug would somehow lessen the potential risks.
That said I am in said age range myself and I still use weed semi regularly, though I really need to consider more strongly taking a break. Weed really messes with my ability to stay in the present moment (even long after the drug wears off) and that seems to be a root cause of most of my mental health issues.

Psychedelics certainly can heal mental illness, that's pretty well established through both the research and anecdotes. Something I do fear is that the rising hype of psychedelic medicine will lead to harmful misinformation, like how weed legalization led to some advocates promoting ideals of "It's just a harmless plant" and "It's totally not addictive". (Not that psychedelic addiction is a real issue)
Psychedelics can however severely exacerbate some people's mental health issues even if they believe it is helping them. I have witnessed in some of my friends that they seem to live in a sort of psychedelic stupor full of grandiose ideas and lacking a firm basis in reality. I've also witnessed people, myself included, become so lost in their mind that they become violent. It should be noted that some, though certainly not all, of these people are also heavy cannabis users.
It is an undeniable fact that psychedelics can be -extremely- dangerous for some folks and unfortunately there is no real way to tell until after they're already tripping. Yes, set and setting will help tremendously but there is only so much they can do; the drug will reveal what it needs to reveal. I don't mean to diminish the any of advances we've seen in psychedelic medicine, however, I think it's irresponsible not to provide an honest picture of what these drugs can do since after all, that is the cornerstone of harm reduction.

I know some schizophrenics who take LSD and are completly normal for the trip and afterwards but if they touch weed it will fuck them up. Yet i see so many "normal" people have terrible freakouts. Psychosis is poorly understood in ancient tribes they were taught to nagative the psychotic realm and become shamans. Western society is toxic to the mind. But i know DMT can cure anything and everything in this world if used in the right way but i seen so many westerners abuse the DMT and so it will come around and fuck them up and send them off somewhere far from planet earth.
One day it will come to light how to acutally cure shizophrenics because some have already been but each case is different. Shcizophernics aint found out in the jungles of peru because they became shamans and learnt to control their mind.

That said, I don't really tolerate weed, it makes me anxious and weird. At least the usual high potent stuff.. at some occasion I smoked bit of more natural outdoor weed and this indeed had something, and lacked all the nasty effects of usual joints.. no derealisation, no psychotomimesis, just focus, clarity, relaxation ... so I really wonder what the fuck is going on.

I assume an AP would help, but still, really any drugs for people with mental illness can just exacerbate symptoms.

@madness00, just wanted to say thanks. Youre the first one to say too that antipsychotics can exacerbate psychosis how I experienced it on various occasions and various antipsychs, so no coincidence but real hell cause the docs don't believe.. For me personally, risperidone is very bad. Sertraline being a sigma antagonist too, even if it's not an antipsychotic. Haloperidol gave me EPS immediately. Quetiapine some of the finest panic attacks. But nothing beats the voices and confusion on risperidone and other high potency antidopaminergics ... while I never ever had a psychotic episode while sober, it was all induced by opioids or massive overdose. Now that I am off the opioids, all the lingering symptoms are gone despite eating silly dosages of memantine which is a fucking dopamine agonist. And yeah, had pro-psychotic reactions off antipsychotics before and alone. 150mg of truxal led me hallucinate a whole person. On dissociatves I never get true psychotomimesis, mostly nothing, last times combined with opioids more but always knew what's real and what not. These APs can be nasty shit and I bet there are way too many people suffering of adverse reactions labelled as schizophrenia,

To me it seems like benzodiazepines help most with this issue. This is anecdotal evidence so take my words with a grain of salt. When I was on neuroleptics I smoked marijuana on it and then I still had panic attacks and psychotomimetic symptoms.

Psychosis is a weird thing I guess that can only poorly be simulated in animals and the belief that drug induced psychosis or even being high on drugs is anything near real psychosis appears to be more and more shitty to me if you ask me. Maybe this crosses one of the boundries where animal experiments just don't fit.

Most definitely. If we take the definition to mean “lose touch with reality” as it’s so often termed MANY things could be labeled psychotomimetic. I think there is evidence that some drugs can jumpstart the process so to speak but to say that a drug can adequately model psychosis is quite frankly disingenuous to the complexity of the human brain
