I am scripted 72mg Concerta/day which has previously been a weekly pickup arrangement as my track record with drugs of dependance is not a stellar one.

My psych wrote me a script with 2 repeats to cover his holiday time ect...

He did not write on the script the weekly pickup arrangement ect...

Now I went and filled the 30 days worth of meds at a random pharmacy that i'd never usually use on the 9th of Oct. Moron me went through said 30 days supply within 2 weeks...

All the research I've done over the last 2 weeks regarding laws and pharmacy practices and analysis of the PBS S8 literature for pharmacies has been concrete in that 1. Pharmacy keeps the script. 2. Pharmacy cannot and will not dispense a repeat any earlier than 30 days. 3. There is no negotiation ect... going on holiday yada yada.

With nothing left to loose today I figured fuck it. I'll try and get a very early repeat and if it all goes bad ill just let it happen, take script off me, whatever...

They filled the script again... no issue. 14 days early...

The 2 pharmacists on duty were the same as last time. Pretty green. English not good with one, the other mostly non existent.

Obviously I need to work on taking meds as prescribed but I am amazed that this scenario was even possible with the Victorian S8 drug system. I can't believe no "red flag" came up on their computer system

I don't know the system at all and you may have been lucky. It may have put a flag up somewhere that wasn't noticed. I'll let someone who knows more answer though.

Pretty sure the DDU will find out when the pharmacy reports it's authority scripts (not sure if they still mail them in, but it used to be they'd do that at the end of each month) They don't seem to care if it happens once or twice IME - don't rely on this though, could just be depending on which staff is going over it.

I had some similar questions about getting a script of dexies early - MrBlonde was super helpful over PM but unfortunately I've deleted them and he's no longer around.

I think it's at the pharmacists discretion.

Usually the authority scripts I've gotten have some code for interval-then a number. My psychiatrist used to do interval-20, despite a repeat of dex lasting me 30 odd days. I'd always fill every 19-20 days and never got in trouble - but it was stupid and I wouldn't do it again. Huge privilege to be prescribed these kinds of meds with past history of substance abuse...if I decided to go back on the dex I'd organize weekly pickup.

This is in SA. I think MrBlonde was from Brisbane so this information might be useless for vic.

Please edit out the dates in your posts. Although unlikely someone in law enforcement or working @ DDU could identify you.

Is there a question here? Am I missing something? It seems like you are just boasting about getting away with filling your scripts early, there is no HR value in that and I see no value in this thread quite honestly.

If I am somehow missing something the OP can feel free to PM me why they think this thread deserves to be reopened but for now it is closed. I wouldn't say that a casual mention of this sort of thing in a relevant thread would necessarily constitute breaking the rules but I cannot for the life of me see why this needs its own thread.
