Hey bluelighters, I think this is the right place for this.

This experience happened a little less than 3 years ago. I had used MDPV a few times before and enjoyed it, I've always been pretty sensitive to any stimulant but the doses I used (don't recall but probably no more than 3-6mg) were nothing too crazy.

One day some friends and I did some, it'd probably been a few months since I used a stim. I was given a line that looked larger than usual but I asked my friend who said "yea that's yours" so I railed it.

Shortly after I felt pretty good but then just minutes later something seemed off. I became very aware of my increasing heart rate until it felt like it was pounding out of my chest. I didn't check my HR but I'm sure it was quite high. Pretty soon I lost feeling in my right arm and thought I was going to die. Pretty sure it was also difficult to breathe. No one had any benzos besides <1mg of phenazepam which I took and it didn't help. I decided to ride it out since it doesn't last long and I was eventually able to drive home and go to sleep.

Over the next week I felt a strange buzzing in my chest and some more symptoms I don't recall now. For that week I couldn't so much as sip a coffee or smoke a cigarette, and definitely not smoke weed, or the terrible feeling would come back. I debated going to the hospital the whole time but it ended up going away after about a week. Anyone had an experience like that?

It's a hypertensive crisis, it's very common with people who treat MDPV like you did. (snorting "lines" without weighing them out first) The panic and fear comes from an excessive postsynaptic level of norepinephrine/adrenaline. Your blood vessels constrict, heart rate and blood pressure rises as a result. To some extent the same thing happens with other stimulants too - it's just really easy to overdose MDPV.

The after effects are primarily psychological and stress-related. It's unlikely you've caused yourself any sort of permanent damage. Be more careful with your dosing in future.

It was a few years ago and I haven't touched mdpv since but it did cause some lasting anxiety with drugs. Also haven't trusted anyone else's doses.

Thanks for the reply, its just something that always irked me. I haven't read about any mdpv caused deaths but do you think death is a possibility, in healthy individuals without heart problems that is

I've had a similar incident with a-PVP. I measured out ~30mg and snorted it. Shortly after I started to feel great with a lot of euphoria, but then started becoming more and more aware of my heart beat. My HR skyrocketed, the highest I had it measured was 186 BPM. I was obviously flipping out thinking I was going to die. I had no way of measuring my BP but I'm sure it was high.

This was around a year ago or so I think. I dont exactly remember the exact date, and don't really remember how I felt physically. It might have just been a panic attack but my heart rate was so high I thought for sure I was going to go into cardiac arrest.

Needless to say, I haven't used a-PVP again after that one time use. A friend tried the same material and said the experience was great which leads me to believe it was induced by anxiety. I want to try it again because it was so euphoric, but I'm afraid of it hapenning again.

My experience has also caused lasting long term anxiety with stimulant use always having me worried about my heart rate and checking to see how prevalent my veins are.
