Scared...
Keep busy,
Ignore the numbness that pokes pins and needles through your heart with every thought of him
And don’t swallow,
For that lump in your throat will surely let the tears fall if you do
And sleep,
Coz that passes slow time real quick, so you’ll be further from the pain when you wake
And drink red wine,
Coz nothing matters when you can’t think or walk straight
And dance,
Because that’s the only time you can truly forget how scared you are.
