Morphine%2015%20mg%20ER-MAL.jpg

I have extreme back pain and this came on recently because of my growth spurs and I am still sensitive from a spinal shunt surgery about a year ago. I can't get out of bed , not even the roll like a log thing they taught me in the hospital. So I called my friend with connections and he got me some 2 of the blue ones and 1 of the capsules. He said they were like ten years old, and i heard pills go bad and I don't want to get poisoning obviously. If I could use them would way would make them long lasting and potent I need to make them last till I get an appointment with my neuro surgeon

I'm sure they will be fine, they probably lost some potency over the years. Maybe instead of the 15mg morphine Sr tab having 15mgs, it might have 10-12mgs in it.

The capsule is 5mg of oxycodone....I would take that one first, see how you feel. If your new to opioids try the SR Morphine if the oxycodone isn't helping after an hour.

They don't turn poisoness or anything, but they may have lost potency.

On a scale of mild moderate and extreme how much will it relieve? .I was hooked up to a morphine thing in the hospital but I was to fucked up to remember the dosage.

Hmm.. How long it have been since the last time you had any opiate/opioid containing painkiller? codeine etc?
I would say that the capsule should relieve you moderately from the pain IF not tolerant to any opi @ the moment..
I havent experienced with morphine myself so cant really tell.. :I

How good will these work? relieve wise?

Depends highly on the patient, the variability is extremely high here. Many people would get great analgesia if they're naive to opioids, however some people do have a bit of a natural tolerance. With no tolerance at all, I'd take everything you posted in your OP, (so 30mg morphine ER and 5mg oxycodone IR both taken orally) and still only notice a decrease in pain of one point, if that, however any decrease on the pain scale is considered "worth it" to me.

**Edit HR note: When I said, "I'd take everything you posted in your OP" I was not suggesting that you do the same, I was explaining natural tolerance. When I re-read my post I had to edit this and clarify***

Morphine is a superior pain killer, even when taken orally. Yeah, it's oral BA is shitty and goes through extensive 1st pass metabolism, but at the right dose orally, Morphine is still superior to just about all the pain medications I've tried. Of course, you could administer morphine rectally for better bioavailability and skipping the 1st pass metabolism, but if you are opioid tolerant then there's no need for you to be tampering with the medications at all, they should work best for you in their time-released formulation if you ask me.

No problem, let us know if you have further questions, anything and everything. You don't want to be scared taking a medication, having a good mindset can make all the difference IMO. I know this isn't exactly fear, but still on the note of mindset, if I take a medication thinking "oh this isn't going to help, this is not enough/this is not strong enough" then chances are they will be less effective at doing their job compared to if I go into it with no expectations and am thankful for any relief I get. Even when I crunch the numbers and doubt the medication will work, having no expectations going into it really helps, despite sounding rather negative.

Oh wow, I just noticed it's 3:13AM on Friday the 13th! Sketchy.

I dont see how 5 mgs of Oxy would really do anything for extreme back pain

id take half of the pill and the capsule and just swallow them

and lay down somewhere

I'm the opposite. I'm very sensitive to opiates. I had to take 1/4 doses when I had my accident. 1/4 of a lorcet did for me what 1 did for someone else.

Since the OP has Only a few pills and they won't last but maybe 1-2 days, I would go to the ER or Urgent care to get medical treatment for the pain now.

i think that second blue round one is a generic 15mg roxicodone, not morphine.

edit: nvm, i was wrong. those are green.

they also make roxicodone pills that look exactly the same though it's a flaw i suppose i didn't know that the morphine looked just like them

Those are green and look different. The roxi 30s are blue but are still scored differently and have 30 written on them on the mallis.

OXYCODONE 15mg IR

That's not the same as the OPs.

You'd be surprised just how long most prescribed drugs will stay good for, especially the narcotic pain-relievers which are incredibly stable.

The ones that don't stay good for very long are more the gels, liquids, the "suspended" mixtures, anti-biotics and whatever else like the benzaclin and whatever.
