Right, no offense here but if you can't use a scale you definitely shouldn't be using drugs......

amazed noone has pointed this out yet? :o

When not shown more complicated devices properly things can get a bit more complex than one would expect. This is why K asked for pics as she's had problems herself with scales.

Are you going to help or just sit by the side lines as a "back seat driver" Help or don't......

FFS Sham made a massive mistake with his scales involving me. I was fine and it was funny but some scales can be a bit more complex.

I would happily help evey use them if she had shown even the slightest willingness to learn...

K asked her yesterday to show a pic of them, evey prob had another 100 posts of drivel after that post of K's but never bothered to even acknowledge her..
I don't know why I needed to explain that when it's clear for all to see. You can lead a horse to water etc etc etc...

Hmm that doesn't sound good, all ok now I hope?

Zis is true.... You can only offer help if help isnt taken then there is not much that can be done.

The Sham scale fiasco took place about 6 years ago. Yes, I'm still alive. JUST!

Oh ok, what was the substance in question if ya don't mind me asking?

Sorry for derailing the thread

Sorry to bump this but anyone got any thoughts please? Thanks!

I've not tried 3-FPM but from what I can gather that sounds like a good method, 30mg seems to be a threshold amount for most people but best to start small and work your way up

Methylone. Was actually quite funny tbh. Only in hindsight though. My point is, even the best can fuck up. She needs to post pics of said scales to get any accurate advice. Even then mistakes can happen.

Possibly the best scale-related fuck-up I heard of was a mate who misused the "M" ("Mode") button and set the weighing units to "dwt" ("pennyweights" -- i.e. the weight of an old Imperial "1d." penny, about 1.56 grams). He then proceeded to weigh out several "ounce" bags of 28 dwt. (= 43.54 g.) as opposed to 28 g. So we all got a one-off bonus, as he never asked for the extra money .....

Evey, you use mainly via the oral route, right?
If you can't accurately use/don't have scales: it would be much safer to use volumetric dosing.
Dissolving 1g in 100ml of bottled water will give you a 10mg/ml solution - measure two mls using an oral syringe and add that to a drink (tea is your preference, right?) for a 20mg dose for example.
Eyeballing is tempting but undeniably reckless, liquid solutions are infinitely more reliable than a random pile of powder.

a bunch of us were 'testing' our burning man liquid acid a couple of weeks before burning man one year. a friend who had never done acid joined us and so our friend (we'll call her tina) took her into the kitchen to give her a dose from the dropper. when we came out we said "you just started her out with one right?" to which tina replied "yep, just one dropper full" :) we measured it out and she had dosed her with 14 drops of liquid acid. considering it was her first time, she handled it pretty well...

^ God damn! That's insane! Good thing LSD is so physically safe.
There are few mix ups of that nature of "overdose" could be "handled".
A dosage fourteen times that of a recreational dose of cannabis edibles, for example, would have most people sick and incapacitated - and there are plenty of sad stories of people doing big lines of dope, thinking it is coke.
Not to mention the countless RC disasters around...

I set my scales to merit "carats" rather than grams/milligrams once, but fortunately noticed because the weight didn't make sense - so i noticed before i used it to weigh up dose of anything.
Lesson learned, but it freaked me out a bit - that could have led to some seriously dangerous fuck up. Best never to rush weighing of potentially dangerous substances.

Did the friend that took 14 hits as a first trip ever use acid, Ali?

Gonna shift some posts here. Seems like a worthwhile thread and one of education in the realm of HR. I've only just woken up and in full lurgy mode so just gimme a minute.

As an aside, pictures of your own personal scales are very much welcome as some can be complicated. It's never a bad idea to get a second opinion. Especially if they're new to you.

Please take care of your selves <3

Duurrty filthy animals so we are xxxxxxx

im curious as to what people call complicated scales...
though i have to say, the first rule of using scales for drugs is to learn to use (your own) scales before actually doing any drugs, and if possible check your results...

my own are simple electronic scales bought off the internetz, the jellery type, measures up to 10g, with a 0.001 resolution. which i dont believe, and so rely on them for basically 0.1 accuracy, and use liquid dosing for the rest

these might be useful in this thread too:

Good call, Sadie, it's such an important subject.

Hope you're feeling better soon, and you can get some time to rest and recover.

I mentioned the magnifying glass because Evey has an eye problem. If your a bit sight compromised it's worth checking your numbers. They are very easy to use if you understand the tare on the scales. Always worth measuring out your nights doses before you get too fucked.

Maybe no scales were bought:( hence lack of piccy...

We often use the same small mint bottles for our liquid and it is not uncommon for one drop to end up as three when in the wrong hands.

Do not store drugs in water bottles if you have young children or retards in the same house.

My thoughts exactly, not even just Water bottles any kind of juice, sweet kiddy appealing bottle. Padlocked safe box all the way when there's children in the house.

When We were kids the biggest threat were parents storing bleach and other harmful chemicals in different containers.

Green GHB in a Gatorade bottle was always a recipe for a disaster.

Seriously just read the fucking manual for you scales.

Tare= reset button. Use this with the container sitting on the scales before you add the drugs to set it to zero.

Add drugs, read number. Make sure you know the difference between g,mg and ug. 1g = 1000mg = 1million ug

If you can use domestic digital kitchen scales to make a cake they,re not exactly complicated. The numbers are just a lot, lot smaller.

Someone with a psychology degree should be able to get this asap.

tare is very very important but most of us just put the contents on the scales themselves. Tare itself is just putting in the weight of the container and going to zero so that you're only left with the weight of the actual content. Only good if you're dealing, not dosing ......

skins really are so light weight that unless you're taking something SO precise by intricate weight there is no reason to tare a a skin imo. Then again, HR better be safe than sorry.
