I have one very very similar, it starts up fully within 1second

mine came with a 10mg calibration weight, so that's not an issue for me, but you should find a calibration set if possible. coins and things like that aren't too good for those scales.

use it in a calm (like just you) room, level surface, "tare" it out after placing the weigh boat on it.
no cell phones within about 2 feet, they will interfere, esp if you receive a call/text while operating.

I've had this one for over a year now, it's been nice to have something that doesn't drift. I would trust the gempro 250 for anything 5mg and over IMHO.

I think I might just go all out and get the MyWeigh GemPro 250, but I just found another scale that's supposed to be pretty accurate called the Ohaus YJ103. Can anybody chime in?
