Hi all. New to the forum but have found them helpful these last few days. Hope I can help others in return in due course.

I need some advice also on how exactly to use a particular glass pipe but being new I'm not 100% sure where to post that question relating to crack!

Anyway, having read the rules and said hello I shall continue to search for answers ^.^

I had one answer but I guess I'm hopeful there are other ideas.
The pipe has a short stem leading to a ball end which has a small hole perpendicular to the stem.
I've been told this is actually a meth pipe.
In the UK we don't have chore boy and our brillo pads are fine steel wool which are not ideal I think. So I was thinking this pipe was a solution rather than using a can with ash.

I have no idea how to use it properly if it can in fact be used :/
So I guess the questions are.
Can I use it for crack?
If so, how so (details on heating and inhalation greatly appreciated)

i know a few homeless guys who i pick up b with smoke their crack in the pipe you've described, they seem to think it works fine, but i should add i have never used this method or seen them smoke with it
you can also smoke crack off foil aka 'chasing the dragon' but this is pretty wasteful, i've done this but i wouldnt reccomend

The best thing i have found is a normal stem and char configuration... i have used a can and you need to master the technique or you will just waste good crack. The type of pipe you have now can be used but you will need to really heat the glass and get the whole vaping the moving liquid in the bulb down. All pipes have a learning curve and the reason why so many pick the "standard crack pipe" is because it lowers the ways you can fuck it up.

Unfortunately you will probably miss a bell ringer the first few times you do it as you need to get good at it first. Really what you need to do with it is get it hot enough to vaporize and become a lot of smoke work on chasing the moving liquid around while you inhale just enough to clear the volume of smoke in a continuous inhale and get it all in at one time... only you can learn how to do this right as practice makes perfect.

A plastic bottle works fine, just melt a hole to stick a pen in to use to suck the vapor out, melt a hole the other side for a shotgun hole then put some foil on the the top with some tiny holes. Fill some water in the bottle so there's only a small area for the vapor to fill put some ash on the foil and your good to go

Look up "the machine" as it relates to a DMT pipe, they are vaporizing pipes made to smoke DMT. They follow a similar idea as a crack pipe and are often made with small glass bottles it would seem. Diamond drill bits will cut glass without shattering, never did it but thats what they are used for.

thanks yeah Shambles just linked me to that thread, i'm still kind of stuck as to making the holes (i am not currently in possession of a diamond drill); perhaps a very, very hot nail?

The issue you will encounter there is when your dealing with glass the procedure for heating one area and manipulating it requires heating it to uniformity to prevent weak points. When you heat something that area expands and if it expands into a cool area it will crack because it is fragile. You can try it but your best bet is something sharp that can cut or grind away the glass i would think. I have never worked with glass, beyond sanding down some rough bits with fine sand paper, so i dont have any direct experience unfortunately

I have seen a lot of people use these but I have no idea how to go about making one, they call them "uzi's" for whatever reason. I tried using someone's "uzi" once and it worked pretty well, but not much better than a normal glass stem and brillo pipe like I would normally use. The reason I really like standard glass stem and chore pipes is that can re-smoke the residue by simply pushing the brillo to the other side of the pipe when it dries leaving behind a golden brown colored flaked up, waxy/oily like substance. Sometimes the residue gets me higher than the crack itself. I have also seen someone who used one of those homemade "uzi" liquor bottle pipes, after smoking quite a bit of crack out of it, take some isopropyl alcohol and pour it in the bottle, shake it around to get all the residue mixed with the alcohol, then dump out the alcohol with the residue in it on a pyrex glass plate and light it on fire. They let all the alcohol evaporate so there was no liquid left and it dried up, creating a grayish colored slab from all the crack residue that was a huge portion of re-rocked crack and able to be smoked just like a normal piece. It was very strong too, I tried smoking some. It was super cool, but I would be a little nervous to try this myself as I wouldn't want to light my house on fire by accident or screw it up in the process and waste it all. This person was a veteran crack smoker who had been smoking since crack came out so they were very experienced and knew every trick there is to smoke crack and get the most out of it every way possible. I wish I knew how to make one of those for when my stems break down to like 1-2 inches and I cant afford a new stem and crack at the same time.

Simple solution roll up and go "oh man im 3 dollars short i had to get gas" Did it all the time back in the day lol Realistically probably not a good practice but id see my dealer literally all the time so being short 3 dollars every once in a while wasnt bad.

Never heard of an uzi but i have run alcohol through a glass pipe i was using and it cleaned out the resin instantly and evaporated quick so i can vouch for that idea.
