I've been a new comer to the use of heroin and have always injected. About a day or two ago, I had a friend inject the point into my right wrist (dominant hand) and there's been some major pain. No noticeable changes or rises in the skin, but a bit of yellow bruising has appeared at the injection mark. Very painful. Is it the way the heroin was injected, or the heroin overall that's making this pain. There's also a bit of redness. I guess last night I noticed my veins on the lower half of my arm were bulging a bit more than usual. Medical attention or just wait out the pain? Really any sort of movement on the wrist or on the pinky causes pain.

This isn't ADD material. Sounds like a nerve was hit. Repeated injection practice will get better with smoother & less painful injections. Red marks however by themselves are common; itchy histamine reaction from injection of opioids. If there's swelling *away* from the heart from the injection, you've hit an artery, and that could be serious, but I've done so multiple times and needn't any medical attention; sometimes red blotches and zig-zag red pen-like lines will go away from the injection site toward the end of the extremities too when having hit an artery.
