San Pedro: why can't I just juice it?

It's really not that bad. I would eat San Peezy any day over kidneys or tripe or any offal.
Once you cook it down it's only around half a cup of goo per trip , the resulting nausea is worse than the taste IME.

If people haven't got a few hours to prepare their trip then maybe they shouldn't be doing Mescaline in the first place. it's not a instant gratification type of drug and it will spit you out if you underestimate it.
It is supposed to be a spiritual experience, taking the time to prepare these cacti also gives you the space to prepare mentally and physically for the experience. Best trips I've ever had where heading out to the desert, getting the billy going at midday and then consuming hours later as the sun began to set and then tripping balls on the moonscape of the Atacama.
 
I think 6 hours of smelling simmering san pedro is a pretty cruel punishment tho! And then you've got to swallow it!



You should be good to go then flip. Just take a deep breath, try not to sniff, and bring the cup to your mouth. Must admit I usually get the cup within a foot of my mouth before vomiting just at the smell.

Yep they clear out the house for half a day and leave it on a wood stove... place still smells like shit days later.

Meh.. once you've chugged it a few time or eaten a few handfuls of raw fresh picked shrooms, done yage/yaje, eaten dried horse shit when blind drunk on a dare etc it tastes ok. You still puke off all them except the shrooms. They taste nice with some lemonade to wash them down.

I guess a two stage acid base tek is preferable. Even better if you have a spare freezer this helps get rid of the cactus snot with no alkaloid content loss but the freezer will be useless for food storage unless you use d-limone or whatever solvent tek. Can't talk tek but it's the easiest way of dealing with the excess crap making the cacti extract so much easier. That or the turkey thing (long glass tube with a rubber bit) whatever the fuck it is. Don't use them much over here no Thanksgiving, well at least on the mainland.

If your doing this whining about a few hours and smell is the least of your problems. Oh yeah for three doses you need about 2-3 foot of cacti.

Might give the post bellow's tek a try out if I can be bothered getting some mature cacti from the nursery. New things and such. :)

How we do it:

We take fresh Tr. Pachanoi cactus, de-spine it, slice to half inch stars. These stars are chucked in the freezer and frozen solid. Then they are mixed with their own weight of fruit juice and blenderized. Then, we squeeze it through a clean dishwahing cloth to rid it of solids, chill it and drink it down. 1 glass = 100gr cactus.
