Okay... Let me preface this by saying I think there is already a thread with the same title and I did UTFSE and the articles did not answer my questions AT ALL.
All the San Pedro v. Peruvian Torch threads from all the forums and websites and Erowid all that talk about horticultural differences, sources, history. Forum members (not necessarily this one) just want to know how which is stronger, presumably to get more bang for their buck.
Please, can someone help me with anecdotal reports of the subtle and noticeable differences in the religious feelings, ability to attain ego-loss, the intensity of the experience (i.e. is it calming, speedy, does it "get on top of you") and any other pertinent differences. Yes I know that they both contain mescaline, but they both also contain many other alkaloids.
Now, for frame of reference for anyone who can help me out. I've owned a two San Pedro cactii for about 6 years now, one has been cut and let to regrow, cut and let to regrow, etc. The other has been left alone (for the most part, I talk to him, make sure he is healthy etc.) and now he is 10 ft tall from the soil and has 5 branches with dozens of new pups forming! I've even had experiences with Mescalito straight up conversations no different then if someone was right there next to me. He has also made the world look so beautiful, I've scene things and heard things that frankly LSD can't even compare too. All while feeling relaxed (I've napped on SP) and having a great body high. At this point in time, I would call it the Rolls Royce of drugs.
So, realizing that psychoactive cactii might be on the brink of total illegalization, I've decided to get two large cuttings of Peruvian Torch. One to grow and one to eat...
Considering my experiences with SP, what can I expect from PT. I really like the fact that SP was somewhat relaxing and I felt like I was rolling on pure molly for the first time, does that happen with PT? What about nausea, I've never had a problem with nausea on SP.
