san pedro vs. peruvian torch

a friend and myself were planning on buying(not sure which one yet)and planting half of what we get and eating the other half


any thoughts, opinions, ideas please

Both are highly variable in potency so one could be stronger than the other or vice versa, and san pedro is better for horticulture in my opinion as peruvian torch has big fucking sharp spines.

You would have to get a pretty damn big cutting if you plan to do all that with one. 4-5 feet and 4-5 inches around should do it.

I've actually found a subjective difference between the two - always found alkaloidal mix from T. pachanoi to have a more speedy feel to it

Any other thoughts on bridgesii? There's very little on that specimen.

Hmmmm, sorry about the big bump here, but Im curious to know, why do the two vary in price?

Peruvian torch being £5 more expensive for the same 20g weight?

Peruvian Torch is meant to be stronger. Although I'm not convinced it is.

yeah, i think the basis of the idea that peruvianis is stronger is from one specimen that was analyzed a while back that had marginally more mescaline than the avg of several san pedros, but they're both so variable its really a crapshoot. Heard bridgesii is uniformly more potent, but that's all based on anecdotal evidence. Probably depends on the individual specimen more than anything.
