San Pedro: how quickly is mescaline produced?

if i put a fresh cacti in the oven to dry it out….. will that work?
 
the mescaline is produced while the plant is growing.
Why do you want to put the cacti in the oven?

You need to go to erowid and look up the san pedro extraction tech. its sooo easy and works with a little patience
 
oh yeah - watch the temp too - over 180 and you will destroy what you want to get out of it.
you don't need to dry it to extract it either.
 
No no not in the oven. cut it up into cubes and let it air dry in a warm dark place like near a water heater in the basement or something. You could also freeze it after cutting into tiny slices.Then juice it. You don't want the core of the cacti just the outer area's (green). Skin the tough fibrous outer layer to reveal the slimy green goodness after you remove the spines. If your at all scientifically minded an acid base extract can be performed but cacti have what some have described as snot basically emulsion needs to be removed if you chose this method check erowid or something similar for tek. Otherwise slow cook on low heat reducing to a broth and removing solids as they degrade and release the goodness or simply filter. Bottoms up and prepare to chuck so hold that stuff down as long as possible. Once down it's ok for a bit but as the stuff passes first metabolism your gonna want to puke more. No puke= no trip from cacti juice in my experience.

1. "stressing" to increase what you want takes time.
2. you don't eat the t-shirt
3. if you go with tea the enticement t-shirt would be the last of gastronomical concerns.
 
From what I have seen extraction is a long long process, of juicing, simmering straining, and so on.


Never ever cooking. seems like a lot of work.
 
By far the best way I've found to eat any kind of mescaline cactus is to dry out the green skin into "chips" in a food dehydrator or absolute minimum heat in the oven. Then grind up the cactus chips into powder with a coffee grinder then put that powder into gel caps. I can't stomach trying to eat that vile cactus sludge and the tea tastes just as bitterly awful. Gel caps are the way to go!
 
Problem with the dry powder is how it expands to 10 times it's original size when you add water to it. Now imagine that happening in your gut.
 
Don't spend too much money on it without tasting a bit first - most people take their first mouthful, gip, regurgitate it and then put it down saying "fuck that".

What difference would that make ? If you have an ammount of cactus to eat it doesn't matter how you get it into your stomach just THAT you do. 2 ft of Trichocereus cactus is still going to be the same ammount after you eat it as cactus sludge or dry it out into powder. The same ammount of cactus is ending up in your gut. I've never had any nausea from even up to 80 grams of powdered cacti. And that's like 100 '000' gel caps.

Don't think that because it only "looks like a few gelcaps" it isn't going to make you puke pigs in in a blanket like a sick fuckin dog. When it hits water that tiny bit of powder expands like a gigantic motherfucker.

The same ammount of cactus is ending up in your gut.

But it's easier to consume a far larger amount of cactus by gelcap - without realising it expands massively. When you're eating chunks of cactus, it's harder to consume the same amount.

I've never had any nausea from even up to 80 grams of powdered cacti.

That's unusual ballz.
