san pedro advice; dosing, effects, duration etc.

I´m currently in Bolivia, and have purchased some dried San Pedro powder (completely legal here). The lady whom sold it to me gave me enough for two doses (which seems like a bag of between 10 to 20g each) for me and my girlfriend. we might buy some more to consume if this is not enough. Due to my lack of Spanish I couldn´t ask her much in the way of questions.

A few questions from those who have tried it. What is the best way to consume it, ie. is there a type of juice that will make the taste more pallitable?

How long does it take to come up?
How long is the duration?
Should I fast before hand?

Is vomitting and diahoerra likely?

Is the intentisity and experience of mescaline similiar to mushrooms or LSD (I take it is not as strong as DMT).

We shall be trying it in a few days so quick advice will be appreciated.

Should I fast before hand? I would recommend nothing heavy 3 hours before dosing

Is vomitting and diahoerra likely? Maybe come up nausea, similar to "shroom gut"

Is the intentisity and experience of mescaline similiar to mushrooms or LSD (I take it is not as strong as DMT). Not as strong as DMT. It's unique, I find it different to both, the body high is great.

In terms of dose, pure mescaline you take around 500mg to reach a decent level of tripping.10g for a dose sounds like they've just ground up the cactus without doing an extraction. I'd be weary though, start low, it could be super potent.

I read that combining it with anything citric can lessen the effects. Is this true? I was thinking some orange juice would be the perfect thing to combine it with.

Also, do you recommend just sipping at it, or trying to down a full dose as quick as possible?

I ended up getting 3 more ´doses´from a different store. the women said 2 table spoons is sufficient for a trip. However, in Latin America there is a tendency to under estimate weights (ie. grams of coke are often less than a gram) or to think the gringo can´t take as much. so we´ll just have to see how it goes.

I´ll try one dose at a time, and go from there.

so the effects in your opinion should be apparent within an hour or two?

by the way, this place sold all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff. coca leaves (and coca candy), ayahuasca, various other psychedelic and psychoactive herbs and even llama fetuses to ward of evil spirits from homes. don´t think you can trip on the fetuses!

Dont have time right now to answer everything, but try and score some coca leaves/candy and gauge the strength of that. If its bunk, it should tell you the mescaline will probably be pretty weak. Thats what id do anyway...ill respond to the rest in the morning.

I can say, gulp it dont sip it, get it down ASAP.
