hi-

back from a 6 week run and 8 years of being MIA on the site.

i started posting back in 2008 but can’t remember the login details (or email addresses) to my old handle(s).

anyways, it’s odd seeing familiar names over a decade later. i wonder if they’ve progressed and regressed as much as I have?

i tried to start over on the other side of the globe and am still here nearly 2 years later and i'm finally studying to be a doctor.

hopefully i’ll stick around this time.

Man I don't know where I was 10 yrs ago or what I was doing. Oh, wait, now I see. My bad. :p
Honestly I had no goals nor ambitions then nor do I now. Only thing I aim for is a comfortable life (out of the cold, fed and in company of those that foster love <-- insert ones own happiness).
I will say that I am a lot more "stable" now, which wasn't foreseen but is certainly welcome. Maybe not stable but less selfish? Hmmmmmmmmmm
Welcome back! Let's get to work shall we? lol
Be around looking to interact on occasion so don't bounce again for ten years as I may not be around back now. :oops:

Well 10 years ago, I had no idea that I would be nearly 1,600 kilometers from the house, and I guess someone had to vote no, and hating it.
I chose that answer because I feel like my life is a drag here where I am at. Want to get out, and stretch my feet. Go places, meet NEW people. See the ocean, the mountains, see fucking snow.
I realize that the only one stopping me is well myself.
Someday? yeah, I see myself 10 years from now doing something different, not sure what it is but hopefully it is far away from here.

I thought I was stable too and then I went home for 6 weeks and I'm back in London and not looking too great.
People have a tendency to say "wherever you go, you'll always be there." Logically, this makes sense but for whatever reason the second my feet touch Chicago pavement I revert to my wild years.
Who knows what'll happen if I move back after my degree...probably won't see me for 15 to life? That's if I remember my password...

Life is a drag anywhere.
When I got here two years ago, it was the same as back home just no drugs (for quite some time).

I hear you about itching to want to get out. I get my first vaccine on Friday as I have to self-isolate before I go on to serve the great people of this nation. Scared to go back to work because I am not sure what things are like. London went into Tier 5 (I think) when I was back home so coming back to this was quite jarring.

I hope you're where you want to be a decade from now. But life doesn't always seem to work out that way.
