Salvia: which other substance does it remind you, if any?

Salvia reminds me a bit of DMT in it's intensity and the utterly alien mindset it can dump you in. Other than that, salvia is unlike anything I've ever tried; it's truly a unique substance, but I can't really find much value in it. The headspace is just way too much for me to handle.

salvia is on its own

but maybe there's a molecule out there, not yet discovered, which has similar effects

the first time i smoked salvia i didnt get any effects, i just pushed the 200mg of 20x i had to the side and forgot about it. like 6 months later i was bored as fuck and figured id give it another go... this time i broke through, it by the far the most "alien" feeling drug for me... it always feels like i get sucked into a place where i shouldnt be... easily the most intense drug experiences of my life where with salvia.. and no, it dosnt remind me of any of drug what so ever.

I find it vaguely similar to the onset of a 5meo-dmt trip except much, much less enjoyable. I've had numerous attempts with salvia but once a finally broke through properly I knew it was something I never wanted to experience again. When I'm really stoned I sometimes get flashbacks (vivid memories) of that trip, not nice. :(

I break through everytime and my trips are always the most intense I've read about on the internet, but it is nothing like any psychedelic I've ever done.

Hmmm, that's interesting, I started loving salvia after I finally broke through, before I did I thought that salvia was over-rated. But as others said salvia has no comparison to ANY other drug, for me, it's in a drug class of it's own IMO.

Would you ever recommend trying salvia? Does it have anything to give? Is there anything that should be experienced even though it may be uncomfortable?

It felt like a very vivid, very sudden, very ego-dissolving dream sequence. I can't honestly compare it to any drug, although a very powerful dissociative trip sounds similar. But it took me to a headspace far beyond an injected ketamine trip could provide me. Possibly one of the scariest things I've ever experienced. Never again.

it's nothing like any drug. the closest thing i can compare it to is a telephone. it doesn't seem to alter your consciousness at all, it just puts you in contact with this alien intelligence that tells you things. that's what happens to me anyway.

salvia completely obliterates my ego. Sometimes its like I am using an alternate consciousness that I don't understand how to use yet.

Salvia reminds me of DPT because of how ego crushing it can be. I smoked about 1/3 of a gram of the 10X out of a 3 liter gravity bong at a party and about fell out a 2nd story window. I don't touch the stuff anymore.

Sounds like really mixed emotions here about salvia.......is it legal?

Yes, and highly available, however I'd recommend reading up on it before trying. :)

Hold your horses - it's not legal everywhere - check in your local forum (North America/Australia/Europe) or on Erowid.

True, none the less it's easily obtainable.

DMT is the good, the soft, the friendly, the light, angels, heaven.
Salvia is the bad, the sharp, the evil, the dark, demons, hell.

^ It is remarkable how opinions as to Salvia's character and effects are so different, as I have never experienced anything like that, finding it almost comical at times :\

^ I must admit, with salvia I've found myself laughing so much that when I come down I feel like someone has given me a bloody good kicking, my muscles ache so much. Physically a biy uncomfortable, but mentally it left me feeling like a gruubby onld sweater that had just been given a good wash (and that feeling is well worth a bit of physical discomfort)

Good to know I'm not the only one!!! :D

I suppose some folk don't like the feeling of being unpeeled for eternity or to imagine that they're going to be a spoke in a wheel forever, whereas I just love it!!! =D =D =D
