Salvia sure has an ability to alter cannabis high

Now maybe this will sound trite somewhat but shortly after I've started doing Salvia on occasion (not very often at all) my cannabis highs began to incorporate odd overtones of Salvia experience, chiefly related to cellular level living tissue imagery flowing through my mind. That includes scenarios like immune reaction, growth of epithelium, cancerous cells building up and just about anything else of that sort. Not really cool I must say. Some are impressive but most are disgusting. I barely have an idea of how anything of that sort would actually work but those sure look convincing.
I'm not saying that it's necessarily ruined weed for me but it's now different from what it used to be.
Anybody think they could relate?

Definatelty i recently obtained some salvia smuggled in from Ze americas and it changed my perspective on the world and my cannabis experience for the better. It was a massively postitive influence on my life and i have been a lot less manic since my experience wich is very nice. so yes i can relate.

However i have only used salvia once and i dont know what form it was (extract concerntration)

It was called "purple sticky salvia"

i notice no different in my weed highs since smoking salvia 5-10 times. after the first 3 times( they were in a row, yeah, fucking crazy) i smoked a blunt, and was still trippin. but thats cuz i was sorta still fucked up from salvia.

psychedelics often mess with your mind in a way that other psychedelics give you that same effect, ex. people report getting more intense/acid like trips off smoking weed after they have experienced acid.

After using stronger psychedelics (even RCs), I notice enhanced "trippy" effects when I smoke soon after. I feel this is normal.

Some of what you are describing sounds like paranoia. Let us know how long symptoms have persisted, and how long you have taken a break.

There's a folk tale of a hippy who quit smoking weed cold turkey and binged on psychedelics for 30 days. Like only a couple days in between trips with a wide variety of drugs. Then on the 30 day mark he stopped psychedelics cold turkey and started habitually smoking weed again, and every time he was high he was tripping again.

I can related to those visualization in my "minds eye" while smoking. Like I'll do some action and I'll see part of it in my head as if it were under a microscope. Like I take a hit off a blunt and imagine my blood cells and plasma carrying the active chemicals to my noggin. :) Haha, very strange but it doesn't bother me.

I can fully believe this story based on similar experiences.

There is a missing link here, the cannabinoid receptors possibly sending an impulse to receptors related to certian rc's

Or the rc's are breaking down a membrane or opening up an otherwise closed cannabinoid receptor?

Cannabis and alcohol is known to exacerbate Hallucinatory Peripheral Perception Disorder.

And Yes i get those as well, mild open eye visuals whenever i smoke, Improved exp for sure. But each to their own, i can see how it could ruin the exp for somone not liking the trippy nature of a mild "flashback" or whatever you want to call it.

Im pretty sure this is a dark area in the medical and pharmacological sciences

That may be a better word than "grey". And really it only started after I took acid a few times, so I doubt that any RCs open up undiscovered CB receptors, though that would be sweet.

I've heard a joint rolled with some salvia and smoked normally is interesting even if the salvia doesn't really let you break through this way and it just gives you more of a body load mixed in with the regular high from the herb.

Im still infactuated and obsessed with why a plant can produce such complex turpins and turpinoids and vary in effect so much every different time i take it.

While it may not be an undiscovered cb receptor i think its a barrier that has been broken down by a number of substances ive taken and the chemical reactions that followed.

Especially the ability for phenlythylamines to alter it so much and then salvia completely reversed it.

You think UCLA will let me smoke a blunt with salvia extract and pop a 2c so people can understand what interactions take place and what physiological changes or chemical changes (if any) Appear after the application of a number of substances and how they coincide with the mental state of the test subject.

But then again im just some manic autistic 8(? lol
